Men and children
I'm dealing with this topic here because I've dealt with it implicitly here in other entries. I return to the topic of the way in which our culture has seen men's dealings with children. Increasingly over the years, I've noticed that we women have a stranglehold on child care. The younger a child... Sign in to see full entry.

From the TV files of Oprah Winfrey
A few days ago (as of this writing), my daughter and I watched an Oprah show about a woman who experienced a very extreme form of domestic violence - she was very nearly burned to death by an abusive husband. It started out like many other abusive relationships (including the one I've detailed in... Sign in to see full entry.

About that dad...
This is a link to an article written by the father who nearly got moved away from his children on a British Airways flight - the father to whom I referred in my last post. Later on in the article, this father talks about how education in Britain (particularly the education of younger children) is... Sign in to see full entry.

Keeping children away from men at all costs
This FoxNews online article unintentionally proved my recent point about men being kept away from young children by social pressure. Evidently, this social pressure has become institutionalized, in the sense that certain airlines will not allow young unaccompanied children to sit next to men at any... Sign in to see full entry.

Molestor or protector?
Older readers of this blog might remember a pornographic magazine called Hustler, run by someone named Larry Flynt. In that magazine, a character named Chester the Molester was regularly featured in a cartoon column of sorts, and his name tells you what his inclinations were toward young children.... Just who abuses whom?
In From Death Into Life recently, I made a brief reference to the child sex-abuse scandals which have plagued the Latin-rite Catholic Church of late. Some dioceses - including the one led by the current USCCB president, a bishop named Skylstad - are on the verge of bankruptcy due to all the lawsuits... Sign in to see full entry.

Another child molester nabbed
Recently, Dr. Phil did a three-part series which amounted to a prolonged confrontation of an apparent molester. A woman sent Dr. Phil a videotape of her daughter, who said that her father had touched what she called her "pee pee." The young girl was very upset about this turn of events, and so was... For the strong of stomach only
A website called The Human Face of Pedophilia is precisely the sort of pro-pedophilia website I have been detailing in my various blogs, and even some replies to some comments to some of my other blogs. People who operate such websites feel strongly that they have been persecuted by a society... Sign in to see full entry.

This article, which was featured on AOL recently, featured the sentencing of a "man" who got 508 years behind bars for abusing a series of children. (I won't even dignify his case by mentioning his name.) I'm glad this idiot got so much jail time; apparently, it was richly deserved. The only thing I... Sign in to see full entry.

Dr. Phil hit the nail on the head
On 10/19/2006, our local CBS station, WBBM-TV, showed what I thought was one of the better Dr. Phil episodes. He spent the entire episode talking about teacher-student sexual relationships. Bless Dr. Phil's heart, he didn't once romanticize this relationship, even though what he featured were female... Sign in to see full entry.

About this Blog
The name of the post is derived from a Francis Schaeffer book, and intended to rebut something I'd seen on the Internet. The blog itself is about what I've learned about relationships from the ones I've had, and the ones I've observed. It will not be pleasant to read, and might wander off-topic occasionally, but is intended to be a long-term blog reading like a public journal.
