I agree, TAPS
That woman had the courage to at least get the restraining order (the one her perpetrator manipulated the court into lifting). So many abusers get away with abusing.

You know, I wish my abuser could face the consequences of his actions. Instead, he has structured his life specifically to avoid accountability of any sort. I believe I've even provided links to some of his material, as a way of proving that point.

kidnykid, I just happened to see most of that program. What a sweet and precious lady that woman is.

Men (and the occasional woman) who abuse and severely abuse members
of their families or relationships need to be punished severely. Men like the one who burnt his partner deserve to rot away in prison for life (if not face execution). I am glad you made it through your ordeal. There are so many who haven't and so many that still are living through theirs...

Thanks, Offbeats...
I'll look up Lucinda's Member Profile. I've noticed that blogs on domestic violence are among the most popular - and often the most compelling - on Blogit.

Excellent point...there are other places to seek information outside Oprahs web site...I am sorry you went through such a horrible thing as domestic abuse. Lucinda Price (another blogger) writes about it too. Good information you are providing..
