I get to wondering...
How does a person lose their connection with humanity? How does someone come to the conclusion that lives are worth less than money? I can understand the kind of aquisitiveness that comes with poverty of all kinds, especially the wherewithal to live in comfort and security, and to give the same to one's children and other dependents.
