I was reminded today that the force which makes a bubble happen in the air or under water is the fact of a bit more airpressure pushing out against a bit less pressure, to the point where the pressures equalize. Like those inflatable domes that are sometimes rigged over tennis courts, held aloft by nothing but a greater air pressure inside than outside...
