Nothing like a life-threatening hair-raising adventure on a mountainside!
Our trip was not so scary, everything held together, and I found a dollar bill drifting alone in an Oregon rest area.

Have a safe trip. I've been that way before and there is much to look at. I'll never forget once while going up a long mountain incline in the Wasatch Mountains, a wheel came off of our camper trailer and began rolling back down the mountain the way we had come. It was basically following a yellow line between lanes. Ex- pulled over and jumped out and started chasing it down the mountain highway just sure that it was going to cause some kind of horrible accident. But, on-coming traffic was doing pretty good at dodging it. He finally caught up with it and tediously brought it back. He was able to get it back on so we could move on, but there was a lot of damage done to the corner of the camper where it had dropped to the road when the wheel came off. Memories....

Re: MAy the weather hold for you.
Looks like it is going to hold a lot of snow. This is not what I had hoped for. But I have good traction tires and 4 wheel drive, and plenty of ballast in the truck... should be okay. In the cab however there will be plenty of food, water and warm gear. Because ya never know!
