Iran is talking tough!

You have got to love Iran. They want to talk tough. Of course, everyone has to listen to them because they are trying to build nuclear weapons. They are enjoying their time in the sun. They do have missiles with a range of 1200 or miles or so. That’s courtesy of the Soviet Union and probably North... Sign in to see full entry.

I want to see a filibuster!

I don’t support John Kerry on many things. I feel I have to do so now. A filibuster to try and stop the vote for Judge Samuel Alito would be wonderful.............for the Republicans. I hope Kerry shuts down the Senate. I hope he shuts down the entire U.S. government. The Democrats are in a losing... Sign in to see full entry.

Hamas; Hamas; Hamas

This is funny. Really funny. Hamas won around 70 of the 132 seats in the parliament. One of the first things the party said was that recognizing Israel was "not on our agenda". Hamas has been responsible for many of the homicide attacks against Israel in the past few years. The U.S. and the European... Sign in to see full entry.

It was 10-8! No kidding!!

All 10 Republicans voted Judge Alito. All 8 Democrats voted against him. The vote was strictly along party lines. Listening to the debate after the vote was amusing. Some people just thought it was amazing that all 10 Republicans on the committee voted for Alito! Apparently it did not bother them... Sign in to see full entry.

The President corrects the media and Democrats!

Eavesdropping should be called ‘terrorist surveillance program,’ he says. The President is exactly correct on this. We are watching calls being made from the U.S. to points overseas. This is not domestic spying. It is a prudent use of our intelligence to help protect us. If anyone can come forth... Sign in to see full entry.

No kidding! Who would have thought it!!

Was this really news or what? Leahy, Durbin, and Kennedy will reject Bush’s Supreme Court choice, Sam Alito. I just would not have thought that. I would have thought after the statements they made in the hearings and in the media since the guy was named that they would vote for him. Come on! This is... Sign in to see full entry.

Kennedy, other Dems rapped Alito for CAP; why not “Sheets” Byrd for KKK

At the Alito hearings Ted Kennedy rapped the prospective justice for his tie to a group that did want to allow women and blacks in Princeton. That got a lot of air time. What did not get a lot of air time was the fact that Kennedy belonged to the Owls, a group at Harvard, that only allowed white... Sign in to see full entry.

Iran will stay in the news

Iran looks like it will occupy some space in the news for some time now. They are going to be a thorn in everyone’s side. This is going to get to be a tough deal in due time. The IAEA is having a devil of a time controlling these guys or even finding out what they are doing. Everyone involved has... Sign in to see full entry.

Republicans are going to clean up their house; how about Democrats

Tom Delay. Bob Ney. The Republicans are going to clean house. This is going to be a good thing. Maybe some better guys, or girls, will come forward and take the lead in the Congress. They might lead us in a new and better direction. This is need and could be a breath of fresh air. Good for the... Sign in to see full entry.
