The Dems obviously have an agenda they're pushing or, as I heard it
called today "an elephant in the room." They are fixated on the whole abortion issue, and because they could not get Alito to point blank say that Roe v Wade was SETTLED in purpetuity, they would not vote for him. Hello, but last I looked there were a FEW other issues on the agenda besides abortion.
Whatever happened to the time when both sides voted through an appointee even if there were a few points of contention? It was almost a courtesy. Heck, many (all?) of the Republicans voted for Ginsburg even though they knew she had strong liberal leanings. She was highly recommended by the Bar, so they voted for her.

It is incredibly pathetic when a party of only a two party system
of any country is suggested to attack out of boredom. Particularly when this appears to be an acceptable behavior. If the issues of this country are of too little concern we need to get rid of the party and establish a new one.

I do agree with you Corbin.
The Republicans have to stand their ground at times like this. I do think Alito is a good jurist for both sides. I don't think the issue is even a lot of his stances on the issues. I think the Democrats just want to attack and put up a fight.

I don't think Alito or John Roberts would vote to overturn
Roe vs. Wade. These two guys are excellent choices and I think in the end will prove to be fair-minded men to both the liberals and conservatives.

I like Judge Alito and I think he will do a good job, he is not
a Republican puppet and I will say that Roe vs Wade will never be changed, because Alito will not bend to the stupid.
