JanesOpinion interesting take, what would you propose for limits?

I say let's make a clean sweep and start afresh.
And the first thing we can do is recommend a term limit.  After all, once upon a time these legislators were volunteers who had REAL jobs.  They volunteered their time as leaders, and then when their term was up they went back to their REAL job.  What a novel idea.  But instead, we have these leaders from both parties who are addicted to the power and will do whatever they can to hang onto it for ever and ever Amen (or so it would seem).

This dog won't hunt ...
the Abramoff/Delay/K Street Project is a Republican brainchild to freeze the Democrats out of lobby money.

You know
it can be difficult getting of some of that debris, but for those of us who like to think on the positive side there is hope. Perhaps after some of this dust settles there will be brighter days ahead...

ms_bradrock,
Those are some dirty porches right now! I hope we wind up with a clean sweep. Maybe we can get rid of the thugs and get some good people in office. I seriously doubt that though.

Hopefully, both Republicans and Democrats will see the value
in keeping their porches clean...

Good Question

If Harry & Nancy are honest they will tell the truth and help to make the rules far. If they continue to act the way they have in the past they will lie, be in denial and claim to be a victim. If we have the proof that they cheated they will claim they were framed by Bush. Both sides need to come clean and stop playing games.
