What if we wouldn’t have signed the deal for the ports with the UAE?

If we had not signed the deal with the UAE this is what the New York Times, the Democrats, the liberals, and the Bush-bashers would have spouted at the top of their lungs at every turn: BUSH FAILS TO REACH OUT TO ARABS So you fellow conservatives don’t get caught up in all this hoopla. The left is... Sign in to see full entry.

90% of US ports run or owned by foreign firms!

Yes, the vast majority of our ports are run by foreign firms. I did not realize that. It’s been fine before so I imagine the present deal will not do much to change the climate at our ports. I do think it is bad public relations for the President to do this at this time. The security at the ports... Sign in to see full entry.

Changed my opinion somewhat on port issue; Dems, libs losing it again!!

I will admit I have changed my opinion somewhat on the port issue. After looking at all the stuff I am not as against it as I was. I read Writeoflight’s post and it made me think more about it all. I think it sends the wrong message. I think that maybe was what I was trying to say in the beginning.... Sign in to see full entry.

Some issues transcend politics for me: The story of Gregoire!

(This account was written by the Jane Goodall Institute’s News Center and is several years old. I reprinted it from their website. I don’t know about the old boy at this point, but this story brought me to tears and I wanted to share it with everyone. We seem to always worry about people during the... Sign in to see full entry.

Bush and his bunch must be crazy; Arabs running the ports!

We will see how this plays out. I don’t think the American people are going to stand for this. I know I am not. I have contacted just about everyone I could to voice my concerns. I think a lot of other people are also. At least I hope they are. So let’s all get behind this and kill it before it gets... Sign in to see full entry.

Rooster’s “Sponsor A Terrorist” Program

We have a lot of people in our country who think it is wrong to hold terrorists at the prison down in Guantanamo Bay. They say we are being a big bully and arousing the world’s ire against us. So being a fair and balanced person I have come up with the following program that I think will be a... Sign in to see full entry.

“U.N. probers tell U.S. to shut Gitmo prison”

So that’s the headline in the local paper yesterday on the front page. UN human rights investigators told us we need to shut down the prison and give "detainees" prompt trials or release them. And here is the real kicker and funny part about the whole thing. We were allowed to repsond by putting an... Sign in to see full entry.

Al Gore in Saudi Arabia; treason I say!!

Algore, and yes I am demeaing the guy and his name on purpose, of "no controlling legal authority" fame, gave a talk in Saudi Arabia recently. He pretty much ran down the President, his administration, and the good old USA in general. I read a great column by Cal Thomas in our local paper today... Sign in to see full entry.

Ol’ Rooster wrote the House report, but.....

That’s right! Ol’Rooster here wrote, or at least began to write, "A Failure of Initiative" for the House. I knew that with all the partisan bickering and such they would never agree on what to put in the report. So I thought I would help them. But they didn’t want to use my report and after a bit... Passing thoughts on the Random Scene

Thomas Sowell writes a column from time to time entitled, "Random Thoughts on the Passing Scene". I am going to do a little takeoff of that and write a few things in this blog. Dick Cheney is in trouble again. Well....the local officials said it was a hunting accident. So that should be the end of... Sign in to see full entry.
