Choices. A plethora of choices. But how to decide Which choice is the best? It’s really quite easy For followers of the Masters. The best choice is always the one that benefits you, not me. You are a vessel. My job is to fill you with love. So the choices I make must help to do that, And in the process those choices will fill me too. Sign in to see full entry.

The Fear of Death is Ego's Game
Death. We put a lot of energy into worrying about death. We spend millions of dollars trying to ward it off. We spend millions more to mark the passing of loved ones. All of this for an illusion. Death is an illusion. It’s an illusion because this life we lead is an illusion. This world we live in is an illusion. And Ego loves it. It's one of Ego's games. Ego is the culprit behind all that we fear and do regarding death. And the more we buy into it, the more power we give to Ego. It knows that... Sign in to see full entry.

If You Love, You Can't Judge, You Can't be Intolerant or "Miss the Mark"
Based on yesterday's post, here is a sermon I wouldn't mind hearing in church: I’m here today to talk about love. And of course, in talking about love, we’re speaking directly of “God”. Jesus said in Matthew 22:36: “[Jesus], which is the great commandment in the law?” And he said to him, ’You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.... Sign in to see full entry.

Why is There so Much Talk About Sin in Church, Rather than Love?
I recently read a comment from Abraham Lincoln about religion. He said (in his younger days) that if he could find a church that truly followed Yeshua’s creed (love God with all your heart and soul and love your neighbor as yourself), he would join it. When he was assassinated in April of 1865, he had yet to attend a church. It’s not much different today. This is a pretty sad commentary on Christianity, if you ask me. Even though Yeshua is pretty clear in his creed. The first commandment, loving... Sign in to see full entry.

Entering Eternity Through the Door of Love
Thanks for humoring me. Another bit of verse: Dreaming brings me to a door at the end of a cavernous hallway Its golden-white color transfixes me; its heat comforts me; No door knob, locks or any type of handle allow entry. While I am drawn to pass through the door, it does not open. I look around and see no other means of leaving; It is through this door I must go. My eyes are drawn to the door’s high arches Above them an inscription awaits: Eternity I gaze at the word, puzzled and confused I... Sign in to see full entry.

The Two Christianities: Christianity of Law and Christianity of Love
The following chart is an pretty good summarization of my beliefs about “God”. It comes from Brian Robertson, who runs www.christianmystics.com, and has written The Gospel of Jesus, A Mystic’s New Testament. He writes of two Christianities, one a Christianity of Law and one, a Christianity of Love. By the way, for those of you who don't know, I'm a suppporter of the Christianity of Love: Belief Christianity of Law Christianity of Love Jesus Death on the Cross and Resurrection In payment for sins... You May Not be Able to Serve Two Masters, But Serve Nonetheless
No man can serve two masters. Thomas Merton said this regarding the spiritual life. He said you are either spiritual or you are not. Yeshua said the same thing: “No man is able to be a servant to two masters: for he will have hate for the one and love the other, or he will keep to one and have no respect for the other. You may not be servants of God and of wealth.” (Matt. 6:24) Most people would agree with this. I’m not sure if I would though, and here is why. The key to this phrase is the word... Tolerance, Humility and Love are Characteristics of Those on THE Journey
Those who truly search for the Truth, those on the ultimate journey, tend to have the same characteristics: They tend to be tolerant. They understand that there are many paths to the Truth, and any one of them will work. They tend to be humble. They are fully aware that the divinity within is nothing when compared to the divinity of “God”. They tend to be non-judgmental. They realize that the journey is different for each soul and that some learn faster than others. They tend to be loving. They... Sign in to see full entry.

Remember, Sometimes the Whole Point is the Journey, Not the Goal
This weekend I am heading up to our property in northern Arizona. And while I enjoy being there and working the land in preparation for our straw-bale home, I actually enjoy the drive up even more. I enjoy it because there are probably a dozen different routes I can take to get there, each one providing me a little different experience because of the landscape. And each experience is enlightening and refreshing, whether I’ve taken that particular route the last three times I’ve gone up, or if it... Sign in to see full entry.

Filling Others With Grace is Our Reason for Being
I wander each day down my path searching for the Truth. Sometimes I move forward; sometimes I move backward. One thing I always do while on my path is read. I read whatever I find along the way, trying to get a better understanding of this world and my divinity. And while I do learn and I don’t want to stop reading, I find that I actually learn more by filling vessels. “Filling vessels”? Each of us is a vessel, placed here to be filled by “God’s” grace, as we once were. While “God” can fill us... Sign in to see full entry.
