There is a basic precept from A Course in Miracles that sums up that particular approach to “God”: Nothing real can be threatened Nothing unreal exists It took me a long time to really understand that statement. For me it means that only the things of “God” are real. Therefore anything of “God” cannot be threatened. Everything that is not of “God” is not real and therefore does not exist. There are times during the day when I am surrounded by chaos and defined by my Ego. This happens when I get caught up in the drama of a particular moment at work or home. It is at these times that I truly need to forget who i am so that I can remember who I am. And if I do this, it is at these times that the warm embrace of reverence surrounds me. We are born into this world as children of “God”. The divinity of “God” is in each of us. And as there is no separation in the mind of an infant between its mother and itself, there is also no separation from “God”. Because of this, a child who is loved unconditionally and continuously from the start will grow into an adult who has not forgotten her divinity. There are two kinds of love in the universe – real love and false love. False love is the love that many of us experience throughout our lives. It can be the love that we have for another person, or a brother or sister, a significant other or ourselves. This love however, is the love resulting from the illusion of our separation from “God”. When Yeshua said, “The Father and I are one,” (John 10:30 ) he wasn’t just speaking of himself. He was speaking for humanity. We are all apart of “God”. The minute we think otherwise however, is the minute the illusion is created. Talk about separation anxiety. Everything we see and experience in this world is the illusion born from thinking that we are separate from “God”. WE ARE NOT! Just a note to those who share some of their time with me here at Blogit - I'm going to be posting a bit less frequently for the next few weeks. My mother has been seriously injured in a freak accident and is in intensive care. Since my mom has been taking care of my father, I'll be taking that over for awhile. Here’s the deal. If you are filled with the unconditional love of “God”, you cannot willfully hurt another. It is impossible. Being filled with the love of “God” means that you are of “God”. And as one of “God”, you realize that each person on this earth is a reflection of you – of “God”. You, and every other person, are one. Here’s an interesting tidbit. The word “love” can be split into two two-letter groupings: “LO” and “VE”. LO is identified as the Eternal Masculinity. “L” is the 12 th letter of the alphabet. “O” is the 15 th letter of the alphabet. The union of these two letters gives us the number 27. This is known as the eternal number of the Eternal Masculine principle of eternal life. The second half of the word “love”, “VE” signify the Eternal Feminine. I believe that experience is a key in understanding the divine. Books and discussions are good for pointing one in the right direction, but only experience will allow one to discern the Truth.
