Anything That is Not Love is an Illusion

Life is pretty simple. Anything that is love is real. Anything that is not love is an illusion. If one chooses to be anything or do anything that is not based in love, one chooses to live an illusion. If one chooses to live an illusion, one will not reunite with “God”. That’s it. That’s all there is. That’s how simple things are. So why do we have to make things so complicated? Why do so many of us buy into the illusion? Two words: self worth. For many of us, buying into the illusion is easier... Sign in to see full entry.

Hate - The Coward's Way Out

Hate. To hate is to have a great aversion to somene, with a strong desire that evil should befall that person toward whom the feeling is directed; hate is to dislike intensely; to detest; as, to hate one's enemies. Hate. It’s a short word, that's long on pain. There is a lot of hate in the world today. And why shouldn’t there be? To hate someone is the easiest thing in the world. It takes little effort to hate. There is no vulnerability on the part of the hater. There is no risk. In fact, there... Sign in to see full entry.

What We Perceive in Others, We Strengthen in Ourselves

What we perceive in others, we strengthen in ourselves. In other words what we see in a person, their attitudes or their emotions, we strengthen those same attitudes and emotions in ourselves. So if I look at someone and I see one who judges, then I am strengthening judgment in myself. If however I see one who loves when I look at this person, then I am strengthening love in myself. Think of each person you meet as a mirror, a very special kind of mirror. While a standard mirror will reflect... Sign in to see full entry.

If it's Not Love, Then it's an Illusion

For some, the idea of living one’s life from the position of love is the most normal thing in the world. For others, it’s the most difficult. And for those who find loving difficult, many times the difficulties arise as a result of the barriers we’ve erected. If we think of these barriers as a wall, then each time we have felt vulnerable, or each time our hearts have been hurt, we place another brick on the wall. For some of us, there are only one or two courses of brick, which allows us to more... Sign in to see full entry.

Redemption is Awakening to Our True Destiny

In Christianity, redemption is what it is all about. According to most Christians, redemption, or salvation, is offered by “God” though Yeshua. Follow him, and be delivered from sin. My definition of redemption is a bit different. Herman Spruit, the late Archbishop of the Church of Antioch (an independent liberal Catholic church) defined redemption in the following way: “The Redemptive process is progressive deliverance from our bondage to limited objectives, inner conflicts and a stagnating... Religion Does Evolve (Inspired by Xeno)

Everything evolves. Whether it's living, a system, a process or a philosophy, everything evolves. Everything evolves because as we learn more, we are able to add it to the processes, systems, etc. Everything evolves because to not evolve is to perish. Everything evolves because to assume that something is perfect as it is, is arrogant. Everything evolves except for one thing: “God”, divinity, the Ultimate, the One – whatever it is called, it does not evolve because it is perfect. While “God”... Sign in to see full entry.

Healing Only Comes From Love

All healing involves replacing fear with love. This is a simple, but powerful statement found in Accept This Gift, a book of selected readings from A Course in Miracles. And the truth behind it is profound. Fears become a part of our makeup as a result of our reluctance to love ourselves and our failure to understand “God’s” love for us. Our reluctance to love ourselves is based in our acceptance of the illusions of this world. We accept others’ opinions of us. We accept others’ criticisms of... Sign in to see full entry.

Adhesive Love Versus Fluid Love

I was reading an article this morning, where the author coined a term for a kind of unhealthy love. He called it “adhesive” love. And I bet with out even describing it, you can understand what it means. Adhesive love is a clinging kind of love. It’s a love borne out of fear- fear of loneliness, fear of abandonment. It’s a love based on hate; the hate of ourselves. It’s toxic and will eat away at anything it touches. Everyone is familiar, in one way or another, with Adhesive love. So what is the... Being Love All the Time is Not Easy, But it is Worth it.

I try to be Love in everything I do. I try to be Love with everyone I meet. The first is easy. The second is not. I have control over the first. So every act I commit I try to base in Love. I can actually be Love with everyone I meet too. But whether or not they want to receive the Love is the challenge. Remember the old adage, “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink?” Well the same is true with Love. If one is not ready for Love, then all the Love in the world directed... "God" Needs to be the First and Last Thing Thought of to Reach the Kingdom

I woke up this morning and the first thing I thought about was what I needed to do today. There are things at work and things at home that need to be completed today, so I was mentally preparing my list of priorities. This is probably something most everyone does every day. It’s the sign of a fairly well adjusted, competent, responsible person. But it is not the sign of a person following Yeshua. Well, that's not quite right. I am a follower of Yeshua. I try to be a loving person in everything... Sign in to see full entry.
