Just when you think it's safe to answer the phone...

Looking in

I bought a sympathy card from us both, and we'd decided that I would look in on my bereaved friend on my way home. Oh dear

Opened my email today to find a note from our choir director; very sad to read that one of our number (who'd had to step down two years ago due to advancing dementia) has died. New car

Petrol Head

So the ironing is done...

I wanted to get it out of the way before we went off on Thursday - I hate things hanging around so just did it all. Whilst I am happy to do my partner's ironing, and had one or two of my own things to do, it didn't seem quite right to leave stepson's two shirts. My partner always thanks me for doing... Survived the Holiday, Not So Sure About the Homecoming

About this Blog

I started this blog in 2006, round about the time my 28-year marriage was unravelling. It was difficult for all concerned, even for my ex who handled the situation about as badly as it’s possible to do. The damage is still emerging, when I least expect it. The children are adults and both now live with their father in Australia. After the divorce, the future initially looked bright. It still does, although there are a number of complications. I have a new relationship to nurture, sometimes thrown into confusion through my daughter’s negativity when she visits. I’m a member of the church choir, which is really important to me. I think I’m happy, apart from those moments of conflict and opposition that we can all do without. Time will tell. To quote William Shakespeare: O time, thou must untangle this, not I. It is too hard a knot for me t'untie
