Family coming soon...

Goodnight all. I've been busy with trying to get ready for family coming this week. Haven't been able to get much done, but am not stressed out (yet). It's been raining every day and is supposed to turn into snow by Sunday. Hopefully not sooner, because my family will be traveling here in different vehicles. The puppy (Ginger) continues to entertain us each day. She now fetches pretty well. I get a kick out of watching her run for the tennis ball as it bounces off the floor or wall. I am getting... Crafts, Christmas presents, remodeling and company

Sunday I was able to spend time painting. I wanted to paint a picture for one of my sons. We are doing a name-drawing for Christmas, so I got one of my sons. I am not a professional painter, and am just learning. I like to finish a painting at one sitting too. IT took me several hours, but I finally got one done. The painting is from a photo taken in Mexico. The painting does not look like the photo though. I use photos for ideas mostly. In the photo a herd of cattle were drinking from a canal.... Does God care about little things?

Last week I cleaned an oven for one of my clients. She didn't have any newspaper, so I layered plastic bags around the oven so it wouldn't drip. To be honest, I have rarely used oven cleaner, so I wasn't aware how powerful a chemical it was. I took the oven racks outside, and sprayed them, leaning them against the house. Later, I brought them in and finished them in the sink. The oven cleaner worked great, but it seemed like it actually soaked through my rubber gloves, because my hands were... Looking at Life...

Life is always too busy it seems. But, when I'm not busy I tend to fall into depression. Now that the skies are dreary, the weather is wet and cold I feel the blues coming. I am going to try to keep doing things each day, or as often as I can that will lift my spirit. Sometimes it's giving someone a smile or encouraging word. Today I saw myself a bit as others' see me. Thanksgiving went great!

I have been somewhat busy (as usual), but just haven't felt much like writing lately. My novel is now at a standstill. I should try to finish it eventually. Thanksgiving went well. It seemed strange, as there were only 3 of our 9 children present. 3 are married now, but there are 3 single living on their own also. I am Thankful that I made the effort to have a nice dinner. About this Blog

I plan on writing about past and present life experiences and what I have learned from them. I also want to tell stories of things in my past, some humourus, some serious and some trivial. I have done some traveling and want to describe those places and people accurately, maybe in some cases changing names if I see it could embarrass someone. I will write out of my heart and hopefully give hope to some of my readers. I do not have all the answers, but have lived long enough to know there are many trials in life and obstacles. I want to examine life, it's simplicities and complexities and share my observation and at times opinions with others.
