So far, we've had a wonderful trip. The first leg of the journey was a New Years Eve party at my 3rd son's and wife's house. There were a lot of his friends over who I knew. The highlights of the evening were the chocolate fountain, visiting and at midnight about 5 or 6 brave ones jumped in the unheated pool. It was about 20 or 25 degrees out, so that really was brave! But, in my son's new apartment, they have a dry-sauna, so everyone warmed up fast. Next, we drove to the coast and visited some... Sign in to see full entry.
It's countdown to Mexico! We are leaving for the valley (still in Oregon) on December 31st in the morning. Today I wasted some time trying to figure out my "Lightroom"program. I bought the old edition, because I got it for 1/4 of the price. It's used to edit and organize photos. This morning we had a nice breakfast of pancakes, sausage and eggs. Our neighbor, Frank, came over also. My daughters have been making cookies today and in a little bit are going to go to a few families and give them out along with oranges. Departure date is December 31st, early. We will be visiting Greg's dad... Sign in to see full entry.
2 of our Sons and their wives left already. I am very glad they took the time to make the trip to see us. I am going to miss my sweet little 5 month old grandson. He is so adorable! We hit it off from the start! 2 single adult sons are still here and our adult daughter. I'm glad they can stay a little longer. I will be taking them back home on our way to Mexico, the end of December. Today I got up at 5:30 and drove 1/2 hour to my first job. My 24 year old daughter came with me, so we could visit... I only have a few minutes to write. Last night our WHOLE family got together at the community room for the apartments he lives at. It was amazing! There were also 2 extra, one is a student at the school my 18 year old is attending. The other young man we've known for about 10 years and he's almost like family. After eating pizza, taking photos and visiting the big event of the night was "rotation story." It's a game our kids invented when they were quite young. Everyone takes a piece of blank...
