Bird Flue!

Bird flue We are about to have our population culled by a bought of flue, which, up till now, has no cure. Certainly there are a lot of people I would like to get rid of, but even I can’t condone the horror that this would bring. Many of the little villages around here, died back in the 13 th century as a result of the Black Death. If we were to face the same threat, it would be the finish of the country. Especially since the hospitals have been cut back to much, there is no way they could cope.... Sign in to see full entry.

What next?

Even though Hill & Hill gave me a glowing review for the book, I’m now faced with the horror of having to write the next one. In the past I just churned them out. But now there may be money involved, I have to take it seriously. Science Fiction is not popular with publishers, and although I’m a Sci-Fi, man at heart, I can’t go back. Comedy/Action/Thrillers/Politics is what I do best, and I’ll stick to it. The only game in town is to write a follow up to Lottery Dreams. A Mark 2 if you like. I... Sign in to see full entry.

A letter from my Agent

Some good news from my agent, they have sent a glowing letter to all the publishers to try and get my book off the ground. This is the opening page: Biog: Hill and Hill Literary Agency are proud to present the new face of commercial Fiction, Mr Stephen Lambert Mr Lambert has a unique and original talent. With a passion sadly lacking in today’s literary market Mr Lambert brings forth a novel that offers the discerning reader a tremendously satirical and original, plot. "Lottery Drams" brings to... Life does on.

Things seem to be settling down. Ebay, computers everything seems to be going well. Not a fortune, but at least the damn thing works. Hill & Hill (my publishers) have decided to try and get the novel accepted. Which is good news. But we now have the problem, of what the hell am I going to write next? All I can think of, is a follow up of the last story. After reading Tom Sharpe, I’m cheered to know that writing the comic novel is not impossible. My type of humour sits in with what people know... Getting over it!!

I think I’m getting over my obsession with Suzanna Hamilton. Of all the people you could fall for, why should I be so obsessed with her? Having read some Dion fortune, I think it’s about closure. Closing the holes in our auras so we are not bombarded with any passing whimsy, which might influence us. Of course its all about lost youth, and a passing life. If only….has been said more than once in the last few weeks. Its not as if I haven’t got enough to contedn with. Bankruptcy, viruses and the... Sign in to see full entry.

Love or Madness?

Love-love love!!! What a state we are in. Unsure whether I should put any of these words down on Bloggit, but seeing as none of my other projects have taken off, so what. Last Saturday night I watched a programme which included the film Swallows and amazons. So fare so good. There came upon the screen an actress Suzanna Hamilton. It suddenly struck me that I had seen her recently in a TV detective show: New tricks. Even that was a year old. As I got thinking I suddenly began to remember all the... Sign in to see full entry.

Ebay and Tax

Ebay and Tax I’ve just heard on the radio, that the inland revenue, are interested in people who trade on Ebay and don’t want to pay Tax! (Keep in mind this is the UK) How in the hell are they going to track them down? There must be close on a million people do it for a living. The Tax man can’t even keep up with people trading out the back of trucks. So how do they fondly think they are going to catch them? Of course they will only deal with the big boys, 20,000 plus. But they will be too... Sign in to see full entry.

Investment opportunities

When thinking of things to write about, one overriding factor comes forward. Only write about things people can make money from. Now I thought along the lines of building. In the UK the only real game in town, is doing up houses to sell for insane amounts of money. But there is a flaw here. Not everyone can do it. They are not bright enough, courageous enough, or rich enough. So what’s the alternative? To write about the sort of things I like. Easy ways of making money but still sat on your ass....
