With the writing out of a huge list of jobs on offer, I now have to go through them one by one, to see if anyone is interested. Normally I would worry about this, but I have a bit of spin to put on this one. Faith is everything, but sometimes you have to bring out the big guns. The radio is horrible on a Saturday, so I started playing some old tapes. Got me interested in the Bearshare project again. I love it when a plan comes together I’ve actually posted my copy to the bloody site! It sounds trivial but to me it’s a big deal. If you only knew how long I’ve been banging on to get that stuff up and where people can see it. Sure a lot of it is old stuff, turned around to make it look like I’ve written a huge amount, but its almost 8,000 words and I loved all of it. Ethics in making money In writing these pieces, something struck me. If this is the standard investment companies are setting themselves, then one day, this will be the standard the exchange will set for everyone. We no longer invest in slavery or the opium trade, and Interpol take a dim view of anyone trading in organised crime. Have you ever had one of those days when you start out with all good intentions and things just get bogged down? I’ve been trying to put some copy into my web site for days now, and nothing is happening. I start by staring at the screen and re-reading the old stuff, and that’s as far as it gets. Now many people might think that this is exactly what it needs. Never has there been such an ivory tower full of stuffed shirts in need od a shake up. Things are not going too well, and if we don’t have a breakthrough in the next couple of months, I shall be forced back into another dead end job. Ebay has never paid the right amount of money for a living wage, and the novel has not had enough time to take off with the publishers.
