Surveys!!! Still no real movement on this one. Up till now this is the only good site, which cost me about 20 pounds sterling. www.surveyhawk.com I’ve filled in about 70 odd sites, but nothing to show. Keep smiling. Steve Sign in to see full entry.

Surveys
Surveys Having taken the decision to try and make money from these online surveys, I’m 2 days into it. So far it just seems like endless form filling. Up till now, there it not a sign of a penny piece. Plenty of promises, but f all else! Have I made another big mistake? Maybe, as it does look a little empty. There was some one on this blogg that did mention that they made a living from these things. The work does not bother me, but there better be some money soon, or I’ll be jolly cross. Petrol Prices
Petrol Price With petrol prices going through the roof, I think it’s about time we had a serious look at alternatives. Bio-diesel is a good idea, but will still be subjected to the same level of tax. But by far the biggest problem is the petrol companies themselves. Will they let us use bio fuel? I think not. China and India are supping all the world’s oil, and that’s to be expected. But until China levels out economically, the oil companies don’t know which way to jump. Are we ever to have an... Sign in to see full entry.

Life goes on/Robin Cook!
Things going well, little writing getting done. I’m going to concentrate on Web design for the bread and butter money. When you look at the market for making money through writing, it’s pitiful. Clearly there is no real money in writing articles. Of course there are people who land very good jobs writing nonsense, look at the shelves of W H Smiths! But not me, sadly. Hill & Hill have the novel, and we’ll see if they can land anything. But the real money will come from hard work, and not... Sign in to see full entry.

Interest rate rise
With the news that the Bank of England has cut interest rates again, I wonder what the reason is. The guy on the radio has just said that it’s to boost growth and consumer confidence, but I think it hardly need it. When I was on the dole in the early 80’s, that was a recession! When people got laid off from those big factories they had no future ahead of them. Now, all that’s changed. There are no big factories left. So there are no large workforces to get rid off. Only in China. So what we are... Sign in to see full entry.

E Commerce
E Commerce The website design is going well, and I’m well into writing the page for a commercial shop. The catalogue itself is not a problem, and I hardly need worry about the database side of it. As that would get me off the beaten track of what the shop is for. But that doesn’t mean to say databases are not important, as I think most people only ant that. The big problem for me, is the account of the person shopping. Now I find this can only be done through the online account of the person... Sign in to see full entry.

Holly War!
The Holly War It now seems as if we have a holy war on our hands. The suicide bombers have ignited what was burning slowly underground for years. The white population has never been happy with the influx of so many black and Asian peoples, that it had to happen. This is such an old fashioned place, that things will never change. Maybe in America, and places on the continent, people can live in harmony. But this is no ordinary place, and things are very different. I despair when I see the slide... Sign in to see full entry.

Caught in a Web
What with the web dsign thing going, I’ve let the writing side of things slip. Had a sniff from an afent in Scotland, but they might turn out to be a scam to get eighty pounds out of me! But if they genuinely tried to sell the bloody book, I’d pay it! Web thing going well, but I need to focus on the shop side of things. a lotof the more advanced stuff, I can’t handle, until I get a really advanced course, or more software, or a good reason to do it. Up till now, I can see the need for a simple... Sign in to see full entry.

Web site Design
Web site Design Been awhile, because I’m so caught up in this Web site design thing. Ebay has crashed with no sales. Second hand books are out, as far as they are concerned. so my only other talent is writing websites. Going well up till now. After opening an account with 1&1 Tinwell Books is back on the net. Even if it’s as a web site designing firm. Basic HTML I can understand, but some of the more advanced features leave me cold. ASP, PHP, CSS. I can only lean by example, so if I don’t see a...
