Parallel Worlds When I look back on some of the stories I’ve written, I often wonder if I’ve been privileged to look upon another world. Either that, or I’ve been close to a portal to another world. In writing the story I think I’ve looked in upon another time and place, and being a bit of an ego tripper, I like to think I’ve help bring that world into being. By airing it in this world, I feel I’ve given it some brief life. Maybe this is what writers do in order to kid themselves it’s all been... Sign in to see full entry.

Envy
Envy I really envy people who can turn out huge volumes of work and publish it. I read several blogs and posting sites, and the shear volume of stuff which is turned out, boggles me! If only I could work like that? When I was writing fiction I had no problem, becuase something else took over and wrote the story for me. The people I was writing about just came to life and told their own stories. If only commercial non-fiction writing was like that? I find it tough to get into something I care... Article Marketing
Article Marketing Regulars to these pages will groan and say: “Oh no not again” But this time I think I can make a good stab at it. Others seem to make a tidy living at it and not being greedy, this will do me. There are various applications that can be put into the tool box to help you. And boy do you need an edge! The whole world and his brother are at it and you have to deliver like a novelist. I would advise quality over quantity. As many people just turn out stuff as if it’s the fluff from... Article traffic
Just how much traffic can you get from blitzing your site with articles? Well it depends on how much you are going to get paid for one click? Sure enough the smart way of doing it is to live off commission sales. But this is almost as bad as gambling, and no one wants to do that. No matter how I rack my brains I cannot find a way of throwing money at it in the hope it will pay you back. There is some small evidence that junk articles can make a return, but even if you forget the argument about... Sign in to see full entry.

Money and performance
Having just looked at a rival writing site: AS, my mind got to wondering how much these people earn? Now I’ve just posted a little piece about a music festival here in the UK called Glastonbury. In just 24 hours it took more hits than I get here in a year. But the money was small, less than a dollar. So I did a little research and tried to find out how much you could make. You get $1.5 for every thousand hits. Now some of these people get a million plus! So go do the math. No one on this site... Sign in to see full entry.

Things slipping through
Things slipping through. When I was a practising wiccan and had to attend group rituals, they always taught that they were more clever than you, and they had the knowledge and you didn’t! So the whole thing died out. They were not prepared to share that knowledge and were certainly not willing to use it to make money, which is what I wanted to do. Ever since then, I’ve found that there are fewer and fewer groups with any knowledge, and they are even less willing to give it out. The result is... Sign in to see full entry.

Mix it up!
Mix it up! Trawling through the web I often thing what would it be like to have my own book, novel or small production? Well the truth is that I’m not even sure if I want it now. Sure maybe 20-30 years ago I would have killed for it, but with the new media I’m not so sure. Having sold so many books on Ebay, I would not want my efforts to end up as another sad paperback, thrown in a skip. What’s more, I would only be copying from the greats. There are so many wonderful science fiction books out... Sign in to see full entry.
