The Gamble?

If you were wondering how the gambling is going, well here's an interesting story. On Thursday I won 6 quid. Bringing my grand total to 14.00 the most I've ever had on the racing account. Saturday I just broke even, with about 0.40 profit. Today I gambled about 7 pounds and I'm 4 pounds down. The account stands at 10.00. Where it was on Thursday! But my point is, that if I had taken the advice of the tipsters website: http://www.online-betting-guide.co.uk/horse_racing.php and backed all the... Sign in to see full entry.

Yet another Weekend

I find it a struggle to fill these pages nowadays. It's just work and sleep with a lot of bright ideas in between and little else. Not the sort of thing you want to be writing if you want anyone to read this page, but you might as well be honest. The horses are running OK, but after a few loses I wonder if I'm ready to plug a lot of money in it? I wish I could trust to be instincts more when it comes to putting my back behind it. But it's the only game in town and I would make a small profit. A... Sign in to see full entry.

The Gamble so far

So far I'm 0.50 up on the deal. I gambled a pound and I'm now fifty pence better off. I'd convert it to Dollars but it's hardly worth it. I'm tempted to move the decimal place a few times, which would make me 50 pounds better off, nearly 2 days pay for me, but I have to test the system for another few weeks before putting any serious money up. The flat season comes to an end soon, but the weather has been so terrible, and the Autumn is usually dryer and more predictable. This guy Alex Gorrie... Sign in to see full entry.

Lost Generation?

Last night I watched a TV show about the history of Pop music. One of the talking heads was Pete Townsend of the Who. Something he said struck home for me. They were the generation who had to live in the shadow of the Post war heroes, and he said:" sadly for us they F******* won!" What he meant was, that their fathers made sure they were reminded about how grateful they should be and how they should have no life of their own and spend the rest of it owing and feeling guilty. I lied in the... Sign in to see full entry.

So Far so...

Up till now I have made a modest amount of money. If I were to move the decimal point a couple of times. I would be making the same sort of money I once made on ebay selling books. But this is a trial and I'm not prepared to put too much money on it yet. Sadly I have to come up with some money, as the service is costing me 30 pounds a month, so I have to get a return on that alone. Up till now I've used the old rule of 10% of the stake only going on one bet at a time. So you are only talking... Sign in to see full entry.

Old Dogs-New tricks

Once again I have searched for a way of making steady money without doing a days honest work. Now people call these MLM's or Networking, but I've tried them all and there are few I can be bothered with. Much against common sense, I do believe that remote viewing the lottery is the big one, but I have so little evidence, even I lose interest. A better way of making a modest amount, is Horse Racing. There is no way of making a large amount of money quickly here, so the only way forward is to back... Sign in to see full entry.

Reasons to be cheerful

I recently read a piece about diaries and the like and one thing which struck me is the down-beat nature of a journal. As I read back through my old stuff, I think: I don't even like this person! A lot of self-help books say that you should focus on the positive things in your life, and actually count your blessings. Now this might sound a little Polly Anna but if you read back through your stuff, would you actually focus on being down on everything? So what have I to be cheerful about? Well my... The Village

The Village My village: Tinwell, even has a page on Facebook! http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Tinwell/35123676231 Most of it is the usual pointless rubbish, but take a look at the old photos. Our house is not there but it's to the left of the village green. This is a symbol of how advanced they are, and how far back we are on this site. Although we get few pressures here I must admit. My point is, that we are getting left behind. It's all about traffic, and I wonder if anyone really makes any... Sign in to see full entry.

Never had it so good.

After my usual trawl of the net and the pages that promise easy money, I realize that this site is the one place you can post up anything and feel proud of it. Some of the other sites are so professional( at least for the people making thousands) that you don't stand a chance. My one regret is that we have no links to Facebook, as some of us would make big money. And surely so would the Blogit team? But maybe they have their own reasons not for linking. You cannot place a link on the more... Sign in to see full entry.

Sending back a message.

One of my more unhealthy obsessions is the ability to send a message back in time to myself. And this message can be nothing else other than the winning numbers. But of course what is equally important, is the receiving of that message in the present. I say unhealthy, because I have become more than obsessed with it of late. Not that I want to stand on the line between believe or ridicule, but I think it's healthy to reflect on it from time to time. The truth is, that crazy believes are all I've...
