Last night I watched a TV show about the history of Pop music. One of the talking heads was Pete Townsend of the Who. Something he said struck home for me. What he meant was, that their fathers made sure they were reminded about how grateful they should be and how they should have no life of their own and spend the rest of it owing and feeling guilty. Up till now I have made a modest amount of money. If I were to move the decimal point a couple of times. I would be making the same sort of money I once made on ebay selling books. But this is a trial and I'm not prepared to put too much money on it yet. Sadly I have to come up with some money, as the service is costing me 30 pounds a month, so I have to get a return on that alone. Once again I have searched for a way of making steady money without doing a days honest work. Now people call these MLM's or Networking, but I've tried them all and there are few I can be bothered with. Much against common sense, I do believe that remote viewing the lottery is the big one, but I have so little evidence, even I lose interest. A better way of making a modest amount, is Horse Racing. I recently read a piece about diaries and the like and one thing which struck me is the down-beat nature of a journal. As I read back through my old stuff, I think: I don't even like this person! A lot of self-help books say that you should focus on the positive things in your life, and actually count your blessings. Our house is not there but it's to the left of the village green. This is a symbol of how advanced they are, and how far back we are on this site. Although we get few pressures here I must admit. After my usual trawl of the net and the pages that promise easy money, I realize that this site is the one place you can post up anything and feel proud of it. Some of the other sites are so professional( at least for the people making thousands) that you don't stand a chance. One of my more unhealthy obsessions is the ability to send a message back in time to myself. And this message can be nothing else other than the winning numbers. So far the web design is going well. I'm getting back in the swing and feel confident I shall be up to speed as far as the new twists in the field are concerned. Mainly because there are none, other than people putting stupid videos on their sites to make it look like they are in the swim with the real world. After spending 2 days at trying to get my old web skills back I have finally got to a point I'm happy with. I'm quite cheered by the thought of people making money with web sites, or site flipping. There are people who seem to be making a living from this stuff, and even a modest amount would do me. The irony is that if I had kept up a steady flow of traffic to Tinwellbooks.co.uk it would have sold for thousands now. Selling articles and hopping for a dollar a year is just wearing me down to the point of boredom. I make more money here than in all those sites put to getter. But having your own site...
