I wish we could pull in more customers from the outside world, here to Blogit. Some of us would make enough to do this as a full time living. But Blogit don't advertise much and you have to stumble on it really. The big hitters seem a world away. Maybe I'm being a bit greedy, but I can't be alone in thinking it could work. You would not believe the trouble this bloody thing has caused me. I want to be clever and run with the big boys and use CSS. But of course I'm so out of my depth that I keep making silly mistake. I have been going into the field of Adsense and MLM for years. My conclusion is, that it is possible to make some money from it, but with a caution. My evidence is gathered from sites like Sitepoint and digitalpoint and Flippa. The last one is the give away. If you can do up a site and flip it for more money you can make a living from it. https://flippa.com/buy/sold is an interesting site. These 2 weeks I don’t have to do anything! Just as well, as I feel I won’t be going back to my old job. It’s time to move on and do something new. I hate the place anyway, but the last day on Saturday was the final straw. They cannot sack anyone or make them redundant, but they can make your life such a missery you don’t want to go on. Have any bloggers noticed that their numbers have clocked up, but no one ever leaves any messages? I have several blogs on the go, but only a few loyal people talk to me. I tend to write around what they say to me. and yet the clock keeps turning to say that I have quite an audience! Which blogs they read and why, I have no idea. I took a look at the old Myspace site the other day. I have not used the account for months. Nothing much seemed to happen there and no one ever replied to anything I ever put up there, so I thought what's the point! It is good that major sites want to re invent themselves, even though the little people can't make any money out of it. You have to have hits in the tens of thousands there to do anything. An old love has shown up to help me out. Horse Racing has always struck me as the only type of safe gambling. You Fool! They cried. No gambling is safe, but just look at savings accounts? The interest is so poor, that it is hardly worth keeping in the bank. You might as well bury your money in a biscuit tin in the garden. Having just looked at my twitter page, I notice it's now linked in with another Paying site I use a lot Triond. I wouldn't say it makes more money for me than Blogit, or gets more people, for that matter. But what grabs me about it, is how switched on they are! It's so wired up with adverts and commercialism that your head is spinning. Sure if you are making money from it, you are all for that. And good old Blogit, just plods on, with no interference. Is it ever too late to learn something new? I never think of myself as old, but I do grow weary of having to reinvent the wheel every time I want to try something out. I'm really getting into PHP as a way of writing websites. The likes of Blogit use ASP as a way of getting all the databases to work. PHP and MYSql is free and a lot easier to understand.
