My life

These 2 weeks I don’t have to do anything! Just as well, as I feel I won’t be going back to my old job. It’s time to move on and do something new. I hate the place anyway, but the last day on Saturday was the final straw. They cannot sack anyone or make them redundant, but they can make your life such a missery you don’t want to go on. Have any bloggers noticed that their numbers have clocked up, but no one ever leaves any messages? I have several blogs on the go, but only a few loyal people talk to me. I tend to write around what they say to me. and yet the clock keeps turning to say that I have quite an audience! Which blogs they read and why, I have no idea. I took a look at the old Myspace site the other day. I have not used the account for months. Nothing much seemed to happen there and no one ever replied to anything I ever put up there, so I thought what's the point! It is good that major sites want to re invent themselves, even though the little people can't make any money out of it. You have to have hits in the tens of thousands there to do anything. An old love has shown up to help me out. Horse Racing has always struck me as the only type of safe gambling. You Fool! They cried. No gambling is safe, but just look at savings accounts? The interest is so poor, that it is hardly worth keeping in the bank. You might as well bury your money in a biscuit tin in the garden. Having just looked at my twitter page, I notice it's now linked in with another Paying site I use a lot Triond. I wouldn't say it makes more money for me than Blogit, or gets more people, for that matter. But what grabs me about it, is how switched on they are! It's so wired up with adverts and commercialism that your head is spinning. Sure if you are making money from it, you are all for that. And good old Blogit, just plods on, with no interference. Is it ever too late to learn something new? I never think of myself as old, but I do grow weary of having to reinvent the wheel every time I want to try something out. I'm really getting into PHP as a way of writing websites. The likes of Blogit use ASP as a way of getting all the databases to work. PHP and MYSql is free and a lot easier to understand. If you have ever had the slightest thing to do with wen design, you will understand why I'm sitting here in the early hours of the morning, trying to get a complex website to work. I've had various stabs at getting the old Tinwellbooks.co.uk site to make some money, and this is the latest wheeze. I did try and integrate it with blogit, in the hope that I could make some money helping people to find freelance writing work. After some deep thought, I've now worked out a detailed plan for making money on the net. It falls into 2 categories. One, is to simply put together a number of sites and have plenty of click-through- adds to simply generate money. Now I have struggled with these in the past, but I now know what to do right. With the news that Wiki-leeks has revealed some sad home truths, I wonder how we might react? Here in the UK Prince Andrew has let it slip that in order to secure a large contract you have to have bribes ready at as a matter of course. Well, welcome to the real world.
