My life

Well finally I'm on holiday for a week! What will I do? Well, one of my more interesting projects is the making of videos. These a silly little self interest things. I don't know enough about site flipping to make a go of it just yet, but getting people interested in something I'm doing, sounds good to me. My web projects have to come a halt because I feel them to be a total drain on me at the moment. Maybe work has dragged me down too much? But I can't get excited about them and have done little towards it. Maybe because I have bitten off a huge chunk to eat? but I think its more because I find it tough to see a return on this one. maybe in the future, long term, but for now I can't get excited. So far my web site plans are on track. There is no way I can write enough stuff to fill a large web site, so I will populate it with Ezine articles. I thought at first I would do something I'm reasonably interested in life UFO's the paranormal etc. that way I might not get side tracked and lose heart ( as I usually do). After wrestling with my latest sites I've created a forum and a very advanced (too much for me) php MySql site with Go Daddy. I've been with 1&1 for years but they are always yesterday's men. Setting up a forum with Go daddy was so simple it's laughable. Plus they have a very advanced option which could mean anyone setting up an alternative site to this one in no time at all. Other than that, I might make some money from it myself. There are only 2 things which sell web sites, interest and Traffic. Quick note to say that if anyone has any doubts about how much a modest website can make, take a look at the site flipping sites. Sitepoint ect. As long as you can get traffic to them and roll the counter over, you can sell it. Doesn't matter if it doesn't make any money, but it helps. I've decided that the only way I can get quality traffic to the site is to make my own publicity. Things are just too random to trust to chance. Sure, I could pay for some, as I've done in the past. But they are just fleeting, and you have to do it all over again. YouTube is a good way of getting traffic. This is my sorry little effort: ME So you can I'm not a natural Spielberg! Since I've been putting a lot of my old stuff on Hun pages and Squiddoo, I've noticed they have some advanced software to stop you doubling up on content. Many of my articles have already appeared on Ezinearticles and Helium. Ezine has hits in the thousands! But they can track it. You can put anything here, they don't seem to mind. For once I've actually heard some good news which could save the day. Our local authority is responsible for handing out the benefits. So they placed a calculator on their site. If all goes well, I could actually be only 30 pounds a week worse off, signing on the dole, as apposed to working in the supermarket. So I if I could make up the difference by making money with the web site, I could walk out of the place with no worries. I like working and enjoy the company of the people I work with. But... The test website: Tinwllbooks is coming on. It will live or die from the add, so the money it makes can only come from them. 2 tyes of ADD, simple click-through, like Adsense, and the second Affiliate links like Amazon. I am worried about laying it on a bit thick, but I've seen other sites where people knock you out with adds. Look at MySpace? It hurts your eyes to watch it, and they are getting all the money.
