Adsense

Read something today in the Mail (UK) Google Adsense pays only 0.60p for 1,000 clicks. I think that's less than 50 cents. So you have to have tens of thousands of hits a week, just to make a living wage. But remember, people have to pay to get traffic. So you can get someone boasting about a 1,000 dallars a month, but they have had to have poured 8 to 9 hundred dollars into their account in the first place! So it's just running to stand still. Surely it's better to get behind an affiliate... Sign in to see full entry.

Guilt trip?

I've been watching a video on Alex Collier. Now, it's not much different from the usual Alien/disaster conspiracy theory stuff. But one thing he said struck me as interesting. Many of his terrible predictions have never come true. He argues, that Aliens intervened to stop the atom bombs going off. But when you look at, this means he can't lose. If it happened, it's a case of I told you so. And if they stepped in to stop it, then he can say that we have them to thank for their behind the scenes... Sign in to see full entry.

Europe and the bad news

Maybe this doesn’t pitch high in the states, but the money is all linked in, so when things get bad here, it’s coming your way. The truth is, no one really cares. Greece is on the verge of bankruptcy and will return to its old currency, but they are less concerned with that, than the football. The Germans hit the nail on the head, when they said the Greece’s were too lazy to pay what they owe. But look at it from their point of view: why work your selves to death to line someone else’s greedy... Sign in to see full entry.

Holiday!

I’m on holiday this week, and of course I feel guilty because I’m not knocking myself out doing all things I could not do while at work. The starter motor on the car is playing up, so I can’t risk going too far away, in case I can’t get back. But maybe this is a sign to make me stay at home and get some stuff done? But what? Writing? Well, I’ve written enough now to know that it needs a focus, otherwise it will end up like a lot of articles on Ezine or something. I’m past the point of trying to... Sign in to see full entry.

Work wonderful work!

I'm often tempted to put gossip about work on my blog site. Now, I've said in the past that I was worried that this might leak out. There is even a sign up on the staff notice board, warning people of the dangers of Twittering and F-book! Basically they have a guilty conscience and don't want the truth coming out. God forbid, someone would actually tell the truth about the place? Once out, it would be impossible to un-ring that bell. So i have to speak in code. This blog gets quite a high pitch... Not much activity this week.

I've had a slight cold, which has knocked me back, and no magick is any good if you are not on top form. The lottery had bumped along. I would have got my money back, even playing my old numbers. But you are just buying back your own money so what's the point? Some good ideas in the pipeline, mostly hobby stuff, but some serious thoughts too. Have thought a lot of spells over time. What if you made a promise to your self in the future, that you would go back and re-assure yourself that all would... Sign in to see full entry.

Cloud publishing

There are a lot of articles cropping up on the web about Cloud Publishing. What struck me was that anyone who subscribes to a blogging system like this, has been taking part in cloud publishing for years. After all, few of the things I write here are ever stored on my PC. What's the point? I don't really use them as Diary entries, or major pieces of work, it's just to blog. Hopefully the men upstairs won't wipe the whole thing and I can go back and see my work. But it grows as people read my... Sign in to see full entry.

The End of Ebay

I have finally given away my stock of books, and quit Ebay. Long gone are the days when you could make a little on the side, by selling your old stuff. The are too many problem people and too little money, to make it a force worth taking seriously today. They don't help themselves, but as a steady income there are easier sources. The biggest problem is the fact that you give so much time and effort, only to see it wasted in notingness. Better to spend that time writing or making films to get a... Sign in to see full entry.

Frustration!

I must say thank you to everyone who responded to my last entry. I think what really gets to me, is that fact that people seem to be making money on the net for very little effort, and I can't get started. For one thing, my heart is just not in writing about an imaginary world called: affiliated Marketing. Which just means pyramid selling! When I write something, I feel I've put my whole heart into it, and to simply keep writing the same thing over and over again, seems to cheapen it. I'd like... Sign in to see full entry.

Stumbled

When I look at what the rest of the web offers, you wonder how this system on Blogit ever carries on. I can write a page on my Triond account, where I can put anything as long as it's not too extreme. I can link it in to my Facebook page, and update it to my Twitter account. From there, I can make it available to Stumbled, Hubpages and a whole host of others. This makes it open to most of the world. All I really have to do, is write something interesting or topical. Here, I have to do everything... Sign in to see full entry.
