That's What I Love About Sunday

There was a song last year "That's What I Love About Sunday". It always made me ache for a normal, lazy Sunday afternoon with my family. Today, was not exactly lazy but it was unhurried and no stress. Carl was out hunting and doing the male testerone thing with the guys and Pam spent the night with... Sign in to see full entry.

Some People

Some people come in to your life for a reason, others for a season and some for a lifetime... I love that saying. I realize more and more in my life this is true as some of the season people have now moved on, even a few of the reason people as well. One of the people I think of when I think of... BRRRRRRRRRRR

I hate winter, I hate cold, I hate being cold! I have been trying to convince Carl since we first bought our house 8 years ago to let me get a wood burning stove and he keeps going on about lack of room but I no longer care about lack of room, tell me what I need to get rid of and it's gone. I LOVE... Sign in to see full entry.

So I Am Back

Yes This is in my other blog as well. I am back for now. I have to admit I missed this place but what I didn't miss was the bickering, etc... that had been going on here. I honestly don't know if I will stay or if it's simply time for me to let go and move on. I'll decide at the end of this... Sign in to see full entry.

Cold And Dreary Day

UGH! It's gray, rainy and yucky today! I'm thinking that I might just curl up with a good book, a nice cup of tea and my blanket and just call it day. Pam has some kind of band performance at school tonight...that only last 3 hours! UGH, do they not realize it's a school and work night? When the... Sign in to see full entry.

About Yesterday's Post

I'd like to explain a little bit about my last post. I spent a year with the part of me that makes my heart beat in a combat zone. I would wake up every single morning and pray that he would simply still be alive at the end of the day. I believed in taking one day at a time and counting my blessing... Sign in to see full entry.

Answers To Stupid Things People Say To Military Wives

I have seen many forms of this floating around the net....the answers are mine and mine alone. Be prepared it's in my own style of dealing with stupidity. Things all of us Military Wives get tired of hearing... * I don't know how you do it. That's cool, I don't know how I did it either, but I did... Sign in to see full entry.

A Weekend Away And A Way Cool Birthday Present

Ok, I am short on time so I'll keep this short. I got a phone call the other night from a family member/friend. "I heard there are still Toby Keith tickets for sale" "yeah great, I can't afford to blow that kind of money." "Come on, they aren't that bad." "sixty bucks a ticket is way out of my... Heroes

United 93 reminded me the the true definition of heroes. Ordinary people who do extraordinary things. I got to thinking about my heroes and I wanted to share them with you. My Grandpa: He was a tail gunner in WWII. He came home and fell in love with an amazingly beautiful woman who happened to be my... Sign in to see full entry.
