What is it about men and doctors?  They would rather suffer than fix what is hurt!

LOL Blanche
I don't think the 70's were good for anyone.

I remember toe socks from the 70s and I hated them! I wish the 70s would
just go away. Not my best decade.

That sounds like a very happy day, Bel, you, Carl, your friends and kids
what could be better. I am doing some research on the VA to get M a knee surgery. I talked to a veteran I know at the C & P, who runs his own disaster relief counseling service. He wants to talk to M, to convince him that it's okay that the VA has good surgeons. I understand his hesitancy, but I want him to have that surgery, as scary as it is, (there is no such thing as minor surgery when it's yours as the joke goes).  Wish me luck, you know how damned hard-headed our men can be, lol!

i owned a pair of pet socks once that i very much enjoyed, a stretch

tube sock with eyes and nose per sock.  they came with a list of care instructions such as the socks' preference for sitting at the top of the drawer, not buried under the underwear, etc.  the instructions suggested wearing them with the face showing in different directions so you'd know where you were going, where you had been, or you could just watch the passing parade.

i was young, they were juvenile, it was a good match.

Naut

I never said only the males but being female, their dumb things are clearer to me LOL!  Believe me, I have done my share of dumb things.

Toe Socks are my nightmare.  They are socks that had a place for each toe similar to gloves.  They come in the most horrific colors and designs and look like something from hippie days.  My friend is going to pay big time!

I had a pair of toe socks about two years ago.  Wonder what I did with them.  Each toe was a different color.  I didn't think they were very comfortable.  I guess that's why I don't know where they are.  LOL

bel,
aside from noticing that only the males in your family are doing really dumb things, , what in Heaven's name is a toe sock? I rarely wear socks anyway, I think they're an unnecessary affectation, but I don't think I've ever even seen a toe sock, let alone met one...
