Stay asleep

What if what you've been taught isn't real, what if everything you've been told is a lie, what if Religion is just propoganda to keep people under control, what if your truth isn't your own? Just something to think about. This isn't meant to offend or infer anything. Just something to think about. Truth, a perception, A belief based on what you want to be real, What makes you comfortable, What fits into your world, Without question, Without reason. Whatever falsehood makes you feel safe,... A king amongst men, a prince of the night Born unto this world with an unholy blight Witty and charming to women disarming Beware the weak it’s your soul he seeks His phallus will in thrall you Seduce you, and bind you The essence of him will Enter and surround you His beauty is blinding, a glistening light A vision of evil an entrancing sight A king amongst men who goes by Ramesess A prince of the night who’s eager to please. What is as beautiful as any living thing, but cannot be seen? Can be felt, but not touched. What can make you whole, fill you with peace, and contentment, but cannot be put into words? Faith, Food for the soul. Riddle of Faith, ByControversyme Sign in to see full entry.

It’s in our nature to care for others To put everyone’s needs before our own We worry about how others feel And bear a guilt that doesn’t belong We give up our lives making sure everyone Else is happy, but forget about ourselves We make ourselves an easy target A dumping ground for woes The hardest thing for us to do is be selfish By putting our own needs first If it came down to them or us It would be us who’d die of thirst We all too often blindly mistake need for love For it’s the need that... "Anniversary of Contravery’me” It’s said that it is better to morn When one is born than when One dies. Though life has scarred you, Leaving phantoms of terror In your eyes… Lost love and memories of Pain have not stolen your Love as it would; Most often a bitch you are Faithful and caring—you are Not damaged goods. JUST ONE OF THOSE DAYS...BY CONTROVERSYME

Looking in the mirror I don’t know who I see, I don’t recognize the woman staring back at me. I contemplate the lines etched upon my face and wonder in amazement how I made it to this place. I used to live a normal life, content with simple things, satisfied with being a mother and a wife. I had a little job, a mundane nine to five; I was enthusiastic, independent, and full of drive. I really just don’t get it, how did I let it all go to hell? Now the only thing that's left is this empty shell.... Sign in to see full entry.

REMEMBERING DAD...BY CONTROVERSYME

Although my dad passed many years ago, I wrote this poem for him on fathers day, in remembrance. My dad was tall, six foot four He commanded the room When he walked in the door He always had jokes And a big easy grin Making friends, for him Was an easy win Looking at him Through my child’s eye Was like bending my head up To look into the sky I remember his car And the music he’d blare And the feeling of safety That clung to the air I remember his hands So big and so strong Lifting me gently... IMPENETRABLE...BY CONTROVERSYME

A soliloquy of words spoken with illogical thought Plaguing my senses with growing foreboding Pontificator of life, facts amalgamated with Irrational fears from a tumultuous past Make reason a cacophony of sound to your ears Reality a series of tormented perceptions Driving actions into irrational directions A suit of armor impossible to penetrate Incongruous beliefs lead to futile debates Extremist ideals impossible to refute Sign in to see full entry.

ME AND THE HUBBY :-)

Within the mural of my temptation I dance with longing and flirtation I move my body with gyration Feeling the musical vibration Within my lurid imagination My passion grows with desperation Thoughts awry with frustration Knowing no pause or cessation Is it merely an aberration This mural wrought with temptation I cry aloud in citation “Deliver me from damnation!” Within the mural of my temptation I wander through this world’s creation Enthralled by our encumbering stagnation Enveloped within my... The Harlot's Reign by Isaiah R.

Sinful, seductive, and conniving— The harlot is ridiculed Provocative attire, sensual movements And alluring perfumes… Gives her power over man, wife, and those of household Though she is lost, she is closer to divinity manifold She is not woman but female… Exploring evil’s realm For how can one know righteousness... having not seen the devil’s helm Sign in to see full entry.

This poem was written a couple of years ago and depicts how sometimes in relationships between people, mothers/children, husbands/wives, friends, any relationship that is toxic can take a toll on our souls. I'm sure many of us can relate is one form or another. I hope you enjoy it. Tired of trying Tired of crying Tired of all the bullshit And stupid lying Tired of fighting Tired of slighting Tired of all the nonsense And nail biting Tired of trying to be the rock Tired of breaking down blocks... WHERE STRENGTH IS FOUND...BY CONTROVERSYME

Love shouldn’t hurt Or grind you into the dirt Pleasure and pain Only meant to drain A strength that can’t be devoured Domination and power a mask for the coward masochism and sadism become ritualism to shield the growing abyss of powerlessness Love seems to bespeak The mild and meek The beholder Doth feel weak True strength is found In not being bound To a life where pain Is a gain To be free of the guilt The past has built Letting go of the shame And the blame healing the soul making it whole... GAME ON...BY CONTROVERSYME

You say you can’t help but lie, then turn around and ask me why I have to be so insecure. Could it be the games you play makes me act and feel this way? It’s not really so obscure! You think that you’re the only one whose had fun with what you’ve done? Obsession's food is all you’ve found. It’s nothing I don’t already know the way you think you run the show You try so hard to confound. No baby, I’ll be no one's fool. I’ve already done that school. I’ve learned to watch my back. So sorry babe, if... Sign in to see full entry.

SMILE...BY CONTROVERSYME

What the hell is going on, with prices going up, people out of jobs; the whole world in a slump. Is the planet really dying, are we seeing our last days, or is that Mayan calendar and scientists just lying? I don’t know how much is real and what is just a scare and honestly, the truth is, I really don’t even care. if the world is ending, in a little while I want to spend my last days, living with a smile. I want to live life loving, being happy, and at peace not worrying and miserable, just... Sign in to see full entry.
