Great poem and yos it is good to question, I believe we have been brainwashed for too long. I believe we must look at ourselves and live our lives with respect for our fellow human beings.. Religion encourages unfortunately extremists and always has done. Our youth are not lost, in fact many are coming together and using modern methods to breakdown unreasonable barriers that create war. My faith is in. The young and if we just let them have the freedom of choice, the freedom of speech and let them embrace love for the world Maybe we can bypass restrictions created by outdated theories and let them get on with living in a peaceful world.....that is my view

Re:
I agree Chuck. It's my opinion that in todays world there is very little faith in anything. I would venture to say that much of our youths problems stem from not believing in anything greater than themselves. People have to believe in something in order to have hope. It's hard to believe in all the writings though, at least in my opinion, because there are so many different versions, additions, deletions, and scandals revolving around religion, it's origin, and what's truth. How can we really expect our youth to believe when the media reports the wrong doings of priests and other religious figure heads. It seems as though the more questions we ask, the more confusing it is, and the more questions that arise. The more we question, the harder it is to believe, and if it's hard for us(adults) to believe how can we sincerely pass faith down to our children. How do we, as a society, expect the younger generation to have faith when all around them there is poverty, senseless violence, chaos, and destruction. With the media sensationalizing the "the end of the world" in movies and news reports. I don't know that's just my view on things. I probably rambled too much.
