Re:

Hi FS, this poem was written long ago, so yes, what your feeling is how worn out the person WAS of it all. These days are much different and MUCH better. Thank you for the visit, the comment, the support, and most of all, the insight. Have a wonderful day my friend.

Re:

Hi CCT, of course I have. I think most ppl have felt this at one time or another. Loving someone unconditionally is the hardest thing to do and comes with a lot of work and effort on both sides. I guess the tiredness comes into play when one side is doing the majority of the work while the other side sits back idly reaping the benefits and when the benefits wear out, the idle party usually is surprised and wonders why, how, and when it all happend. "I thought everything was great!" is a response I've heard many times both in my personal life as well as my professional life. So glad those days are over and I now have a life where even when things aren't going great I know without a doubt that love is still there and being worked on together.

Re:

Lmao, I love your metaphor, it's so appropriate Jay! I lived like that for 14 years. I not only scrambled the eggs and made the omelette, I burnt it and threw away the damn pan! Lol! Now, I'm happier than ever and enjoy every days ups and downs, and the learning process of getting to know my husband. It's been 4 years or good, hard, sad, mad, bliss, and every emotion under the sun and I wouldn't trade it for the world. I'm running out of poems that I've already written so it's time to get back to the drawing board, so to speak, which is going to be hard since suffering is usually my best inspiration and I love visiting the dark side of human nature in my work. I loathe the flowery, hypocritical bs about how wonderful life is, and the godly rhetoric that flows meaninglessly from bible thumping fundamentalists. I mean no offense to anyones religion or beliefs, this just comes with my own experiences and observations. Thank you again Jay.

Re:

Hi LOL, hey, feel free to copy/paste, or print, or whatever, if you'd really like your daughter to read this. You can even (just a suggestion, not tootn my own horn) print it and put it in a simple frame and hang it inconspicuosly somewhere so that it appears that she just "runs into it" and reads it, kinda like ppl do with 12 step pamphlets when they leave them laying around on coffee tables and such for a certain person to read. I don't mind at all sharing my writing freely, especially if it would benefit someone else, as that is my ultimate goal. Thank you so much, your comment, for me, is the highest of compliments and much appreciated.

I lived like this for twelve years, walking on egg shells. Sometimes you must make an omelette.
