FORECASTERS CALL FOR EXTREME HEAT, HUMIDITY...

I checked the temp - only 78 or so - sat out on the porch to sip coffee for a few minutes. Slight breeze, several sets of dog walkers, the sweet couple that push the baby carriage regularly, Father Michael heading home after the early mass. Not so hot that coffee wasn't welcome. MAYBE IT'S TIME...

A couple days ago there was some kind of a power outage that took out Spectrum's cable tv broadcasting as I was sipping coffee and watching the morning news. The dreaded line "Please stay tuned. TEMP JOB

I took a maternity leave from my job at the university for the birth of my baby boy. When he was six weeks old I applied with the Personnel Office (now called Human Resources) to return to work.
