The call -- the email

You know the one. Phone rings and you know it's horrible news even before you pick up. Got a call like that in '03, my daughter. Her husband had died. Cormac McCarthy...

The first book I read by this author was No Country For Old Men. To say it depressed me would be an understatement. At the end I wanted to throw it at the wall or burn it. Sometimes I feel like a motherless child...
