I LOVE the smell of books and ink....could curl up on the floor of a bookstore or library and stay there for days and days.....

Pat I usually tried to get rugs, well mats with a white backing. I do find condensation sometimes needs mopping up underneath them. The trouble is I get so much mud from pottering around the garden and have to constantly change shoes, I really need an automatic shoe wash. We have wooden floors and vinyl which at least wipes over easily, providing one has got the energy. We always seem to have an abundance of books in the doctors surgery, I took a bundle in but they did not seem to want them. Oxfam has stacks, but then we have too many charity shops, but they seem to be the only ones who can afford the rates etc. I suppose the labour is free as well as the goods.
