FLOUR SACKS RECYCLED
It's only an old flour sack dishtowel. No big deal. Embroidered according to a "day of the week" theme, unbleached cotton, hemmed by hand. When? Probably in the mid 1940s, while WWII was still going on, when leather (shoes) and toilet paper were rationed or hard to find. It was Waste-not, Want-not... Sign in to see full entry.

As Itchy set foot on the grass at the foot of the tree, he looked toward the lovely Juliet, hoping she would meet his glance. To his shock, she was on alert, standing on her tiptoes as Roscoe, Itchy's troopmate, approached her. He carried an acorn in his cheek, and obviously intended to move in on... DAYS OF OUR BACKYARD SQUIRRELS, pt. 3
When he peeked over the side of his nest he saw it was Shirl, his pesky cousin. He shook his head in disbelief. But Shirl was on a mission. Someone had to educate Itchy. She sat up on her hind legs and began to lecture on the subject of Romance 101. Apparently, she observed, her cousin Itchy had not... Sign in to see full entry.

DAYS OF OUR BACKYARD SQUIRRELS, pt. 2
Itchy had spotted an abandoned nest in the yard just behind the Brick Street Troop's Backyard Habitat. It would be perfect for a honeymoon with the lovely Juliet, if only he could work up the courage to approach her. This impulse was stifled by his mother's disapproval. White Ears thought he just...
