Well, why not? I mean, what are we, chopped liver? It’s actually not the first time that Muslims have thought to do a little bombing in these parts. Most people by now have probably forgotten about the ‘ Toronto 18’, who had planned to blow up Parliament and cut off the Prime Minister's head... The... Sign in to see full entry.

One More Post on the Boston Marathon Bombing...
It’s been a terrible week! First I want to say that my heart goes out to the people of West, TX, where 12 were killed and 200 injured in an explosion at the fertilizer plant. I’ve seen pictures, and the town looks like a war zone! The American Red Cross accepts donations! And now to Boston; I assume... Sign in to see full entry.

Of Pots and Pans and other Stuff...
Well, mainly about pots today, especially pressure cookers... Did you know that the thing that’s sitting in your cupboard, hauled out on occasion for making chili or something is one of a Muslim terrorist’s favorite weapons? I say Muslim terrorist, as opposed to, say, IRA or ETA terrorist, because... Sign in to see full entry.

Does Rumpelstiltskin have a friend in Boston?
Most of us remember the Ft. Hood massacre; it’s the case where the Muslim US Army major Nidal Hasan is alleged to have shot and killed 19 people and wounded 30, shouting Allahu Akbar (God is Great) while doing it, back in 2009. I am saying alleged, since in a trial, which is also alleged to start... Sign in to see full entry.
Yet more on the Boston Terrorist Attack...
Now that the W.H. Amateur (according to Bill Clinton) has decided the bombs at the Boston Marathon were set off by a terrorist rather than by a run-of-the-mill criminal, we’re all safe in calling it that, and we’re making some progress. JimmyA observed, “Not to sound callous or anything, but I have... Sign in to see full entry.

More on the Boston Attack…
After I had posted my previous bit, where I go on (completely inadequately) about my own Marathon experiences, because I wanted to show why this affected me so much, because it does, I slowed down a bit and began to think. And I also listened to more stuff on the news channels, CNN and CBC and BBC... Sign in to see full entry.

My Heart goes out to Boston...
Especially of course my condolences to the families of those killed, and my good wishes for the injured and their families, but also to all the runners and the whole City of Boston. To everyone who has ever run a marathon, Boston is almost as important as the very first one that took place in 490... Sign in to see full entry.

Chatting with a buddy...
Had a chat over a few drinks with a friend of mine the other day. We’re not really close, even though we like one another, but every now and then we get together and chat. We talk about this and that; among other things we talked about the weather, and when it gets a bit warmer that we might be... Sign in to see full entry.

What’s the use of a smart phone?
Justi posted a lament about her smart phone yesterday, found here, http://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/Justsouno452/733326, and I sympathize! I too have one of those gadgets, which promises me all kinds of things, though none of them terribly useful to me. It has hundreds of little icons – a... Sign in to see full entry.

Naut’s Fabulous Melon and Avocado Salad
I didn’t know what to have for lunch today, so I rummaged around in the fridges (we have two; way back when my Mom told me about the starving people in India, and even though I don’t know whether they are still starving, I have ever since refused to waste food, but two fridges are necessary for...
