Cooler today...

I hope! It's humid though-- 95 % humidity which is unheard of, for us. After all, San Diego is supposed to be a desert! Maybe all the humidity is staying in the air around here instead of going south to form hurricanes? I am sure hoping to get out on the motorcycle today... I really miss it! Hope... Overwhelmingly cute!

Yesterday and today I have had an extra class at the Chinese American school- a class of 3rd and 1st graders, respectively. Today, it was 25 hyper- active and very intelligent first-graders, all demanding my attention at once! Wow, now I know where the expression, 'a Chinese fire drill' comes from!... It was time for the tooth to come out!

One of my little Chinese American students was in the bathroom today for quite some time. When she came out, she was holding a tiny tooth in her hand and had a red gap where the tooth had been. We'll see what today brings...

Thank you for all your good wishes about this crazy California heat and power crisis. I noticed that there is yet another new tropical storm off the coast of Mexico and I think that is partly what is pushing this hot humid weather up here. We have a power emergency!

Oh no, I think we are going to have some rolling blackouts! We are in a Stage 2 alert because of extremely high power use. They measure it in megawatts and we are maxed out. Boy, that's a HOT ride!

I picked up my lovely Dragon today from the shop- she has new front and rear brakes and now the brakes feel like they're supposed to feel!
