And I couldn't be happier! Supposedly we were going to get rain today, which is why I hurried up in the morning to get my laundry done so I wouldn't have to carry it home in the rain. And guess what? I'm having a bit of trouble and I don't know what to do. Back when I was using a temp agency to find work, I had a temp job with a guy who wanted me to help him do some editing. He basically treated me like shit the entire time I worked for him. I suspect, though I can't be certain, that the client had some kind of learning disorder--what's the disorder called when someone is highly intelligent but has difficulty coping with everyday social situations? During the week, I slack off. Or, rather, I procrastinate. I say, "hmmm... it won't matter if I get this done today or tomorrow..." so I wait until tomorrow. But tomorrow always turns into the next day and then the day after that, so I never get things done. I'm always trying to find things to do instead of trying to find a job--which, as my dad says, is my job right now. I have a friend from college who's been in a relationship for about eight months now. They're still in that lovey-dovey phase of the relationship--you know, "I love you," "No, I love you more," etc., "we" this and "we" that. They're a really close couple. Although public displays of affection are a turn-off for me, that's not really what bothers me. My friend has been talking incessantly about her eight-month anniversary with her boyfriend.
