A funny conversation I overheard recently

A few nights ago, when my mom was in town, I ate dinner with her at a favorite Italian restaurant. As we were just finishing, a group of four came in and sat down: a girl and three guys, all of them about my age. After they ordered, the girl said, by way of conversation: "So I was at the doctor's office today and some gay guy complemented me on my Steve Maddens." Upon which the three men with her gave her blank stares. "Huh?" their expressions read. To which she immediately went, "Oh, my God,... Sign in to see full entry.

I'm in further trouble...

As I mentioned in the post http://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/Kasthu/420360, where I was having difficulty with a temp job gone horribly wrong, I threw away a camera belonging to a client. Now things have gotten more serious, and I need some advice. The worst item of fashion I can think of is...

UGG boots. Originally named thus because they are, in fact, ugly, Ugg boots are probably the worst thing I can think of in terns of footwear. Skirts are dressy, Uggs are not. That is a fact of life. It is especially bad when... Sign in to see full entry.

WOW

I'd never realized until now just how fast-paced this website is. After blogging nonstop every day for a month and a half, and then taking a break for a day or two over Thanksgiving break, I came back to find that nearly everyone (who posts regularly) on my "favorites" list had posted at least once. My ranking has fallen, too. And no new comments. It really is true that the more often you post, the more often people will read you and (maybe) leave comments (duh). Needless to say, I have a lot of... Sign in to see full entry.

TODAY is the day you can start putting up Christmas decorations!

I've been complaining about this subject for the past few weeks: the presence of Christmas before Thanksgiving. Since today is, obviously, the day after, it is now permissable for you to put up those trees, wreaths, play your Christmas music, or whatever. Christmas has never been my favorite holiday; can't you tell? I have an incredible amount to tell you about what's been happening over the past few days, so sorry for the length of this post. On Wednesday I heard back from the HR rep at Penguin... Sign in to see full entry.
