OK, so I'm in Union Square today at the enormous Barnes and Noble there. Its four storeys of books, DVDs, CDs, and whatnot. I get on the escalator, and there's a woman and her son a few steps above me--the boy must have been about 4 or 5. Anyways, all of a sudden, the boy breaks out screaming and crying. It sounds like someone is being murdered. He gives a huge scream: "I. WANT. TO. GET. OFF. THIS. ELEVATOR!!!" and then proceeds to try to walk down the up escalator! I'm not kidding. This is why... This from my best friend, who came to visit today along with her girlfriend. My best friend has one of the most sarcastic senses of humor of anyone I know. The quote is in reference to me. Two days ago, when M came to dinner, he and R had a conversation about a mutual friend who wants to sleep with a large-breasted woman. Why do guys not understand that the size of a woman's breasts is not indicative of her performance in bed? I've got an interview for the internship I applied for lined up for next week. I was encouraged to contact the former director of my publishing program, who is the head of a "boutique" literary agency and is a professor at NYU. Anyways, he offered me an internship at his agency beginning after the new year. Its not paid, but it would be experience to add to my resume. Yesterday my mom came to visit me.
