Writing a thank you note

I'm in the middle of composing an e-mail to the HR rep who interviewed me yesterday. I'm stumped as to what I should say, given the disastrous nature of the interview. Should I ignore the fact that it went so horribly, and talk about things I didn't mention yesterday? I'm thinking that's the way I should go. Act mature about the fact that I'll never get a job. My mom keeps saying that I should "enjoy" the process of finding a job, though I don't know how that's possible. I got really frustrated... Sign in to see full entry.

Window shopping on Fifth Avenue

I'm re-watching Sex and the City. Because it was filmed mostly in the summer months, it makes me wish it was summer again... I've found myself starting to shop for warm-weather clothes! Or at least window shop for them. This afternoon, before the Disastrous Interview, I went window shopping on Fifth Avenue. Oooh lala. Last night

My plans last night didn't intersect with those of J and the rest of his friends. They spent all of yesterday sightseeing, then went home at 6 pm and napped for three hours. Then they got up to have a bite to eat, and immediately went out to a strip club--leaving me in the lurch, so to speak, standing on Broadway between 17th and 18th in the rain, at 10:30 pm. So I went home and had some chips and salsa and wine, and went to bed around 1:30. My roommate is studying for an exam he has tomorrow,... Sign in to see full entry.

A meeting with an old friend

Yesterday my friend J came into town for a few days, over his spirng break (he's in grad school). He's here with a few other friends and is staying with a friend from college who lives down on Rector Street and works at Goldman Sachs--so basically he walks to work. The friend who lives downtown I know as a passing acquaintance, but hadn't known lived here in New York. It's a small world. I met the guys up at 55th and Broadway at an Irish pub at around 10:30, where they'd just finished eating... Sign in to see full entry.
