NOT ONE OF YOU ADDRESSED THE CORE ISSUE HERE

Many as is usually the case get partisan and see the fur fly. No body noticed the real problem I was addressing. The wide gap between the two: The wealthy we pay and the poor they won't pay!. I also did this over a ten year period since there has not been any increase in minimum wage. The present yearly salary for the rank and file Congressional person is $165,200 per year plus incredible benefits. It is a life time pay plan too. SOMEBODY WANT TO GRAB THIS AND RUN WITH IT?

When the Democrats were elected this past fall they made outstanding promises. There was not a lot of talk on how they planned to do this stuff. Mostly they have formed a mouthy group to further bash bush.! It has been ten years since the poor have received a pay raise. Well let me put that another way; it is the working poor. Part of what got the Dems elected was the fact that people wanted that raise. They drafted it up and as far as I know it is in Queen Pelosi's luggage lost amid silk undies... NEVER IN THE HISTORY OF THIS COUNTRY HAS ANYONE DONE IT!

Like I told all of you on my last birthday. I do not intend to get past the 70 mark. However, in all my 71 years I have never seen, hear of or even considered anyone doing what Nancy Pelosi has done. This is a country of free voting. When we don't like the actions of our president we can vote him out of office. It is never acceptable to defy him as has been done this week. TODAY IS A SAD DAY IN OUR COUNTRY

Today outside Atlanta a large group of Soldiers are gathered to return to Iraq. They were home only a short time before they were sent back. One of them is my husband's nephew. He has been in the military through the whole war. He called his wife before he left today and said it was the worst day he had seen and they are not out of Georgia yet. HAVE WE LOST ALL SENSE OF PROPRIETY?

On occasion my children would talk back to me, not often but it did happen. I was very careful to discuss with them why I would not tolerate that. It was not just about it being rude. If we want to discuss a point and disagree on it we do this with respect, not with sharp and tacky remarks. I believe all people should stand for their beliefs.
