I'm back from my trip to Sault Ste. Marie, an 186 mile round trip. Ah, yes. The winds are beginning to pick up some serious speed outside, allegedly at about 35 to 45 mph. The sure sign of trouble for us/me here in this area is the fact that the wind is alternating from the south off Lake Michigan (25 miles south of me) and then out of the north off Lake Superior... At 8:30 in the morning, it is about 70 degrees, with the day headed for a high of 85. The funny thing? By Friday, the high will be 56. It's the Yooper Way. Another morning that I slept well past my usual 'wake up' time. With the temps moderating at night, I've positioned my various sets of doors to allow my dogs to go in and out at night into a restricted area, thus they don't wake me up to open those doors.
