Big V Mumbles About Something

Monday, August 19, 2019

I had to get up (too) early this morning for a blood draw. Nothing serious; just routine testing. It was heavy duty foggy outside this morning, making the many 'low spots' in the road extra dangerous. Sales of 'Daddy Has Cancer' continue at a fairly brisk pace, which is good for 'Heroes and Cops,'... Sign in to see full entry.

It's a beautiful morning, but we are expecting heavy rain later this afternoon. I've got 'stuff' to do outside, so I'm postponing my normal Sunday morning jobs to get outside for a while. The dogs aren't the only one who like to be out 'wandering.' Last night at the races, everything went smoother... Sign in to see full entry.

Something to remember. “Life is a journey. Time is a river. The door is ajar“ - Jim Butcher Sign in to see full entry.

It rained fairly steady and fairly hard all night last night. It looks like the storm has passed us by now, but there are a lot of new puddles along the edge of the road! It's also a race night, meaning that my day is not my own. It is also the next to last race of the year for me, so there is an... Sign in to see full entry.

I did a lot of researching, sorting, and writing today. I normally do a lot of research about most things I write about, but you just know that some goofwick who considers themselves to be a 'Heminigway EXPERT!!' will try to trip me up someplace. Know now that this will be a 'feast or famine' type project. There will be days where I can pound out 3500 words or more and then there will be days... Sign in to see full entry.

It was COLD this morning! I left the windows open last night and woke up about 6 AM to realize that it was about 56 in the house and about 41 outside. It has warmed up to about 50, but it's a reminder that summer is closing up shop soon. Zippity-doo-dah! I'm hoping to escape the dogs for a few hours... Sign in to see full entry.

And Then This Happened

This is along the main area of the Pictured Rocks National Park to the north east of Munising. A large section of the rock formation fell into Lake Superior. Sign in to see full entry.

I made it home about two hours ago and had all of the normal nonsense that Life demands that we do... and the we (three very happy dogs and me) went for a walk. After that, the world can wait. I've got to level the hugging and playing field with the animals... and once everyone settles down, we'll... Sign in to see full entry.
