Frankie's Rules

One of the weird things about living on a peninsula is the way that storms move over or around you. When I lived downstate Michigan, over the first fifty years of my life, I saw tornadoes pass just to the north of my area to hit the same towns over and over. I've seen several right up close, but... I had promised you a love life for my young hero, and today I worked that in. I'm hoping to aim this at a late high school, early college group, so everything has to fit in for that group. The story plot is getting closer and closer to its ending. I've figured out the how, I'm just working on the... Sign in to see full entry.

I Needed To Raise Some Extra Cash, Soooooooo...

I need to replace my roof before winter starts in mid September, so I've decided to raise pot. I have just a few plants out, all about eight feet apart. I'm not sure if the rain coming this way later tonight will help me yet. Sign in to see full entry.

Whew. I did my morning writing spree, went out and trimmed a few bushes back that were going crazy on the outside of my backyard fence, and now I'm heading out to walk the dogs. Predictable? Yep, but I work on the ol' song from the Disney movie, 'Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah.' I'm just a rabbit and it's a... Sign in to see full entry.

It's already warming up fast. From a low of 52 this morning, it's supposed to be about 87 today... and then teh cold front with its rain will begin late late tonight. Kind of like the cycle of life here. Some days, you can see three of the four seasons in one 24 hour cycle. I want to hit the forest... Sign in to see full entry.

It was a beautiful evening tonight. The dogs and I took another hike and saw several herds of deer out in the meadows, grazing. No matter how many times I see such creatures, it still takes my breath away as I watch them. We have a nice night ahead, a hot day slated for tomorrow, with lots of rain... I'm finding that I really like this 'stream of consciousness' style of writing. I just hammered out 1400 words in about an hour in my newest murder story. It allows me to pretend that I'm telling you my story, face to face. My newest story line that I thought about late last night will use this same... Sign in to see full entry.

It's supposed to be quite warm (by UP standards) at 86 today. I'm going to take the dogs out soon and take my camping chair. Maybe we'll find us a tree over looking my 'savanna' and watch to see what crosses there. I've already added another 1800 words to my spy novel this morning with three more... I can't believe that I'm still riding this tidal wave of words I'm putting out the last few weeks. I get times where I can write a lot for a week or so, but a wave like this comes along once every year. I'll ride it until it crashes on the beach. I've begun to organize yet another story that will... Sign in to see full entry.

It's amazing what a 45 minute rest can do. I'm feeling better and am sitting down to work on today's edition of 'One More.' Give me about an hour. V Sign in to see full entry.
