Cruise Pics, Snow Update and Healing Energies.

Cruise pictures are in my last post along with pictures of the snow we got. Brooke and Scott still have no power and are still with me. The cats and dogs are finally settling in together as long as the dogs mind their manners. It's nice to have someone in the house. I told Brooke she was going to have to clear my energy field tomorrow. She has such a great gift but doesn't use it unless I ask. She uses her left brain more than her right brain so she doesn't tap into her Universal connection on a... Sign in to see full entry.

Snow and Kids and Dogs

We got 6-8 inches of snow and when it hasn't been snowing it has been raining. I can't even get my deck chairs dry enough to put up. Brooke was able to get home about 11pm from work and Blake and Yvette made it home ok also. Brooke called about 12am and told me their power was out. They gathered the dogs and went to bed to keep warm but their power still was not on this morning so to Granny's they came with my grand dogs. Midnight and Spunky. I fixed breakfast for everyone and Blake called and... Sign in to see full entry.

Sleep, Sleep and More Sleep and Now It is Snowing, Snowing, Snowing

I have been really tired and have spent the last week resting and getting trigger point injections and unpacking. I haven't been able to intake much so sorry I haven' read your Blog. It is snowing here since this afternoon and all the roads have been closed. J called me from Asheville and said they had 10 inches and when I talked with him later, they had 5 more inches. I canceled the Christmas party Sunday and rescheduled for next Saturday. Brooke is stuck in Gray at work. She decided to stay... Sign in to see full entry.

Home Again, Home Again, Jiggety Jig

The Fascination Carnival Cruise Ship. This is the Jacksonville port as we arrived. We drove all night to get there and it was a cool and overcast day. We were lucky in arriving when there was a lull in the check in. It only took us an hour to get through security and check in. Our stateroom M299 was out of numerical order so we only had to walk the entire length of the ship and back to find our room just a few yards from the elevator we had come up on just past 51. Needless to say we took a much... Sign in to see full entry.

First Snow of the Season.

Woke up to a white ground this morning. I'll be glad to see Monday and Florida weather. A whole week out of the cold weather. I just have to finish the Christmas decorations and clean the kitchen but I think I'll leave it to tomorrow. I see movies and hot tea and warm covers for today until Brooke and Scott come over to sleigh ride down my hill. Maybe I'll fix some potato soup. That sounds like a good idea so I guess I'll clean the kitchen anyway. I can't over do it because I leave tomorrow and... Sign in to see full entry.

A New Christmas Tree

I got my little Christmas tree out only to find the lights had died. Since it was a five dollar special at the drugstore, I decided to replace it. So my plan for the day was my doctors appointment for trigger points and an increase in my pain medication and something for sleep. I have slept at night much the past couple of weeks and I'm tired to sleeping during the day or not at all if I have something to do. I had called two weeks ago and got first available. However, they forgot to log me into... Sign in to see full entry.

Recovering From Thanksgiving

I can't believe that it has been 3 days since I've last written but then again I've been sleeping and resting recovering from Thursdays jaunt. Looking back on the day, it was a really nice day. I had said I wouldn't repeat it but I would. The only thing I miss is not having left overs to snack on. An eventful day for decisions. I decided to look at the on line curriculum for Northeast State's Community Education Center. I found a bunch of courses on writing but I'm going to take a course on... Sign in to see full entry.

A Happy, Thankful Thanksgiving In Three Different States

As usual the day started at 3am and by the time I was sleepy again, I was afraid I'd over sleep. So I was dressed and ready when Brooke called to see if I was up and ready to go. After a quick stop at McDonald's for breakfast, we were on the road by 9:30. I hadn't been to Asheville in 3 years so I was searching my brain for directions to Joe's house when he texts to see if I remembered how to get to his house. I did except for the exit to get off. Brooke set her GPS with his address and to his... Sign in to see full entry.

New Eye Glasses

Finally went to the eye doctor today after two years. The healing touch is working on my eyes. I could see better without my glasses than with. He tweaked my prescription just a little and was very pleased with my exam. I do have the beginnings of a cataract in my right eye. More healing touch sessions. I got new frames also. While I was being helped with picking out the right frames, the girl went to see what was in the back. She came back with a really nice pair with scroll work on the sides... A day of Accomplishment

Even though Law and Order Criminal Intent was on all day, I managed to declutter another pile and finish the scarf for Brooke's little man she is buying for this Christmas. I also put a dent in the afghan I'm crocheting for Blake for Christmas. My sister called and her boyfriend's mother is dying but can't let go. She has not been able to eat or drink for 3 weeks now and says she had been to the gates of Heaven but can't go in. She has family members from the other side who have come to aid her... Remembering Those We Loved

Today was the memorial service for Amedysis Hospice and all the patients they had die between April and September. I got to see Julie, Richards nurse. I had talked with her several times but hadn't seen her since the funeral. It was a very nice service. They lite candles for each patient and gave the families that were there a dove sun catcher to reminds us that their spirit is always with us. They did a photo tribute and there were no dry eyes when it finished. It has taken me several hours to... Sign in to see full entry.

A Restful Day

I couldn't quite get organized today so I just rested. Brooke was sick and had to go to the Dr. this morning and she has bronchitis again. The Dr. put her off for a week so she can rest and get well. She's had this for 2 months now. She called later in the day and said she had adopted an elderly man to get a Christmas gift and wanted me to crochet a scarf and she is going to get glove and a hat to match and a blanket. I spent the rest of the afternoon unraveling knots from my yarn. I finally got... Sign in to see full entry.

Last of the Funeral Details

I had to go to the funeral home again today to sign another assignment sheet for the insurance so it will pay for Richards funeral. I put the wrong number down the first time. I bought Joe's Christmas present. A framed picture like the one we used for Richard's Celebration of life Service. Then it was off to the cemetery with the dd214 to get his military marker and to order Mom's marker also. I ordered Richard's memory picture with a poem I wrote. It was extra but I just didn't relate to the... Sign in to see full entry.

I Stayed Out After Dark

Tonight was the Thanksgiving Dinner at Church and after another afternoon of panic atttacks, I fixed two black forest chocolate pies and went. Again it was so nice to be welcomed back after my long absence. I realized tonight that I have never felt more a part and a belonging to something in a long, long time. I practiced taking pictures with my new camera and speed card. I still need to figure out the buttons. I told everyone I was practicing for my cruise and they were all delighted to hear I... Back On Track

It's amazing what a good nights sleep will do. I got my last rose planted today and got the house straightened up, dusted and vacuumed. My grief counselor from the VA came today and we had a good talk. I seem to have moved out of the shock stage into reality. I guess that was why yesterday was so bad. Transition is never easy. I got all my clothes I ordered for the cruise. I'm very impressed with the quality and the fit. I guess tomorrow I'll fix my little black dress and dress it up. I had to...
