Contemplations (Mermaid Chronicle)

(Art by John Waterhouse) Patches of water swirling around green-grey stones So close and alluring yet intimidating Rich treasures of words flow in and out like the gentle tide Notions scream at me like the sea gulls Thoughts of illness and darkness Feelings of abandonment and cold shallow tidings A place where I drown routinely The waves are all I hear Taking the dense thoughts away Sign in to see full entry.

Queen of Hearts ~ Black, Red and White Art

This is a very special piece to me, the last one I completed in 2008. I miss painting and a strong urge to do so has come over me this day...perhaps I will steal time somewhere soon for a little while to paint the swan... For now I will share her with you - The Queen of Hearts - Sign in to see full entry.

Black Diamond (Mermaid Chronicle)

Black Diamond Shimmering Sparkles Across the sand Two white horse gallop Across the low tide band Met with snow white gulls above Such is the place she’s grown to love Upon a salmon and granite rock As the water laps the shore Warmer than normal the sun upon her back Dressed in black Protected from undesirable human conversation She waits and listens to no avail And without procrastination Moves on.
