Barefoot in the Snow

~ So beautiful, the barefoot ghost who walked with deep breaths curling out of the corners of her mouth. She passed through the newest snow, her silken white hair billowing around her small round face. How magnificent she looked as she brushed her hair back, revealing snowflakes glittering on her eyelashes. The crushing cold in my fingertips subsided as the many misunderstandings out here, left out here in the bitterness, revealed themselves. Too many unfettered words left lingering in the air... Blistered and burning the hidden inside Embers are glowing, the secret, it hides Black and bubbling, bursting at the seams A dark and harrowed secret, unsharing, unseen It swims so swiftly, black snake in a golden stream Until it meets the restless doorway and the shadows inbetween...
