A Lily in My Garden
There grows a white Lily in my garden I do not know how it came to be there but it is a wonder to behold Placed by fate among the thorns and brilliant color of my roses Her face is fair and white as china her stem, strong and smooth-- no thorns to scratch or prick me-- She stands alone Not drooping like the daffodils or weakened like the tender violets but firm in her foundation, her face looking ever towards the heavens. Her leaves are thick and green like shields against the storm, perfect...

Bullshit!
Bullshit ask me, ask me to speak, to tell you feelings, thoughts and desires Passions flow out with torrents rainstorms, thundering, flooding over hearts deep and longing Love and friendship lost to anger love not, want not, seek not, am not above the heart into the head stirs the words of discontent speak, spoken, driven out into the air off the top of my head don't cross this boundary and be civilized, this is anger, this is war and yet I say I love you? Tell me, tell me to be as you say, do...

Prosperity
Prosperity, you changeling– A phantom which the hearts of men pursue with virulent ambition the peace of present times undo Soothsayers and politicians boast of better days ahead what can you defend against when prosperity is the promised end? Prosperity, you robber of peace planting seeds of discontent laying measure for measure weakness and life wasted, spent What more can you gain from this apparition with its ethereal and greedy definition? But the frivolous praise of simple men? What truth...

Integration
Golden heads swaying in the sun Daisies from a land beyond make their home, a foreign one, Their seeds fly in the warm breeze roots spread quick among the reeds Strangers, in a strange land–Free Yet here is Earth to lay upon nutrients to make one strong A place, like home, to belong Water too, for life to flourish without which all would perish The blood of Earth to drink and cherish Light energy bathes the land warmth infused into the sand A treasure given without command A Zephyr no one can...

Secret Treasure
You dive into pain, wince, like plunging into high, salty waves with all the sting stealing your breath away Then, once the smack dulls, dives in again for more Or, clutch closely heartache, like threads of a well knit blanket Each knit a different color of melancholy Each pearl, a tear fallen You live so meshed– without a break– in sorrow the days are dull and useless riding the carousel up and down from love to loathing reaching for the brace ring of peace, just out of reach, just beyond...

An Acrostic Form--

Fool's Spring

Past the Façade
Go deeper– past the fa ç ade deeper yet– to the well deeper still– to the spring that fills it deeper even more so– past the bubbling fountain on past the river and deeper into the soul There, see, are we– not me– not thee There is what makes us Lovers There is our need– There is the Blossom that bares our Seed There is the point of our existence where I come onto you and you come into me The force of our own will makes this happen or nil The stars proclaimed such a moment? Hardly noticed they–...
