Golden Afternoon

Running wild over flaxen fields The wind blows us like seeds of Earth Chasing Cottonwood fairies and Cattail kids Afternoon begins. A basket of food for you and I A blanket set amid the moldering leaves Trees of flaming yellow, orange, red, surround us rays of sunlight dances through Young souls with the fire of life bend to passions feverish delight The wind sings in the rustle of drying leaves we lift our voices in harmony intercourse of a different kind Our thoughts combined we’re one in mind... A Man Chosen

He is steady and stands ready not tempted to move from side to side but constant as the morning Sun He rises with the day and toils body, soul and mind bending the working of life to his will doing as he desires He delights in the wonders around him the forests, the light, the rain, the sea the peace of night His talents are not hidden nor boasted above others but sure and patient he enjoins the force of nature and sculpts a living thing He keeps his dreams alive in a sacred place in his heart... Farewell

The time has come that what we put together must be undone I go now not for lack or need for with you I found love complete A duty calls I can not refuse That puts me on this path I choose I see the pain in your eyes your words of hopelessness arise In this moment you feel you can’t go on But I say, “Live, my love, remember our song Each day we had a life time long Each breath we shared a sacred tune we hummed under a lighted moon. Each morning came the joy of light Each noon our heart's delight... Sign in to see full entry.

Life Renewed

Life Renewed (Greg S.) Love me while the day is long and wrap me in your arms at night. Kiss away the tears that come from sorrows past or Joyous light. In waking to a life renewed, your soul caressing mine, gentle man, like morning dew, cover me with passion’s wine Your body, bread to a dying soul. Your heart, blood for a life unknown. I drink. I eat. I live. © J K Sommers Sign in to see full entry.

Purchasing Liberty

Purchasing Liberty Delusion From the womb of wonder all are sent and nourished from the Mother’s breast. She holds in awe the innocent life and sings the hymns like lullabies with tinkling timbrels and fiendish fables making promises of heavenly Angels where cherub-like children have magic wings and go about do saintly things Then comes the Priest with chains of sin and lays them on the infant’s crib each link a scourge of ancient’s past of ignorance, hate and cruelty caste Mother passes on the... Celebration of Life

Life is ours-- given to us to enjoy the wonders of the physical world. Life is in us-- a wondrous gift for us to delight in! Life is in all of the Universe! It is in the trees which I love and feel a kinship to (little wood nymph I am) It is in the moving of the Earth, she stretches her crusty skin, breathes fire and moves Ice Mountains to bear new valleys and birth new lands. Life is in the chill wind and clouds, lifting up higher and falling down lightly as the rain is brought to earth and in... Sign in to see full entry.

Children of the Future's Past

All around the world is silence as what remains of life is set again to prepare the waking of breath and defense in darkness and woe and deep despair Withered are the boughs, dry the beds, all bled of light essence The cause of such, mere difference, and belief that war could such things repair Left now, our children, those strong enough to survive, to make repair alone, in silence, too young to know despair too weak to build defense they shall build among the rubble and prepare for what is... The Price of Freedom

How came we to these darkened days of dissonance and grief as ancient wisdom slipped into shadow, all fallen into the abyss of time? Yet still the day dawns, glowing embers of life flow endless from the sun to us who live in memory of Bliss– the Way is surely hard. Secrets of the long-ago whisper gently upon the winds of wonder– Hail, man his long desire, peace, paid upon by all our freedom. By myth it is the banner furled for all men born in freedom but long the seasons passed, unreasoned, the... Sign in to see full entry.

Natural Terrorist

Natural Terrorist Where have I been sleeping? Amid the green cedars and puffy white clouds (doves against a darkening sky), where the breath of earth is sweet and clean. Snow capped Baker, the only regal monument out my window, sleeps too. There is a rumbling deep inside like the purr of a sleeping lion with hot rock melted down into pools of earth’s blood. Pressure building to a magnitude of ten. Sleeping, like Snow White, dressed in diamonds. A Terrorist in view. Sister Helen shed her virgin... Sign in to see full entry.

In Atlantis

Here walks the sacred Fem, in a sacred place– Where spirits of Moon and Earth, divine, bridge the stream of life and time with love and hope for all mankind and knit silvers threads of life into oneness– of heart and breath and mind, to her, the goddess, Freya– Mother of all life. By the song of Wind and sweetly scented mist of Life through Wooded hills and blossomed fields, to a solemn place– Steps softly she, this day of May, Lithia, the joyous goddess. Green leafed pines and trillium, roses... Sign in to see full entry.
