retrospective: the Parts Model briefly explained
Parts. Each part of us that helps us process and balance our lives, is, in this model, a fragment of ourselves held in memory until called for. Each Part contains at its center, a belief along with all the evidence that proves the belief, the strategies that protect and support the belief and an alarm system to shove it into the forefront when Reality triggers it--throws us a situation in which this Part's central belief holds a key to our success, maybe even our survival.
