Making a shift
My 'child' is unbearably sad today. Body-loneliness: The hunger for physical contact, for physical connection; the cure for the exhaustion of sadness when even hope seems naive and futile. I think today is going to be about finding treatments for this condition other than cynicism and apathy. I'm too old to be a sincere cynic, and apathy is just so boring. Self-pity isn't worth the embarrassment when one realizes how much worse some people have it, who still go on doggedly pursuing life. There... Sign in to see full entry.
