Path building and What Would Arturo Do??
For Christmas, I gave all family members small 'shim' boards, as that was Dad's favorite repair method and a family word. I wrote on each little shim board, What Would Puma Shim? WWPS So, while going crazy around here and tired of sitting or sleeping the craziness away, I decided to play like I...

Grandma's Garden is soggy and dripping with hiding birds and
falling leaves. Cardboard boxes wilt, garbage cans collect water, uncovered, and the kiln thinks about falling apart in the moisture. Today is the third or fourth rainy day in a row. I have tarps all over everything. Wish that I could put tarps over the dogs. Baby brings in her filthy wet and muddy...

My garden sings after summer rains and looks good, tho' neglected.
Small plants that had given up trying, are trying again after this summer's rains. My gardener has disappeared. I gave him five t-shirts to paint his logo and company name upon, along with some paint and a brush and NADA. I know that he is having fun, but I believe that I have created an artist and...

My garden looks like small bombs have gone off around here.
The puppy has dug ten thousand holes. My favorite morning memory this week, was walking outside with a cup of coffee at dawn and seeing one tiny teddy bear placed in each of the first five holes leading away from the porch. Each teddy sat, head up in each hole. I buy little teddies at the thrift...

Abuelita's Garden shows the effects of 7 month Pity Party.
I was so busy feeling sorry for myself and sleeping away painful days that I didn't hear the garden calling for help. Everything is so dry and delicate right now. I am watering again. The puppy likes this new activity of mine. She digs and then finds mud and digs and then comes to me with her black...

I Have Pilez and pilez and pilez of stuff in the garden
The landlord chopped off tree limbs and there is a pile in the front garden and there are bags and bags of dog poop and debris out there, too. The back garden has piles of bamboo, piles of empty boes, piles of garbage removed from my storage shed and broken furniture and things. It has another pile...

The Garden is Chopped to Pieces, but it's a Good Thing
I bought a reciprocating saw and what fun they represent and what power. I can not only chop off overhanging nopal cacti and overhanging tree branches, but can chop bamboo off at the ground level and have even considered lowering all of my furniture, by cutting down the legs... So, I put the saw...

I raked for hours and made piles of stuff and then, I left town...
When I returned from my trip, the piles were scattered and the garden was full of everything that I hadn't tied down before leaving. I must now rake again. I bought hooks for all of my garden tools and hooks for all of my household implements and they were where I had left them. The new garbage can...

My Gardener just Stopped by and the Garden Amazed Him
There are seven paper bags which used to hold 40 pounds of birdseed, which were being kept to bag up dog poop, etc., but which Baby the puppy tore to shreds. There are teddy bear guts and nativity packaging (ie. peanuts and styrofoam wavelets, all over the front and back gardens. The bamboo has been...

Garden Now Replaces Storage Shed....
My seven months pregnant (ex, but never ex, you know?) DIL was going to empty her storage shed (rental) to save money and to have a yard sale of her goods. She was going to empty the shed on her own!! Her home's renters are not paying their rent and she is in a panic, having no discretionary funds...
